My fav is Wally explaining to all of us idiots how this is REALLY only oscar's 2nd year coaching or some kind of bullshit, and it's pretty much exactly how Frank's 2nd season went (actual 2nd season, not fake 2nd season). Choosing to disregard the fact that those two seasons really aren't all that similar at this point, his premise has created by far the dumbest rationalization I've seen for the team's performance this year. Also, him blaming this all on the players is pretty  and possibly  :opcat:

In Frank's second year the team finished 4th in the Big 12 and had 22 wins. oscar will not even come close to that this year.

To be fair, I, for one, went ape crap on Frank after 0-4 Big 12 start and getting pounded at Nebraska. I remember writing a scathing post back on the kstatefans scout site. It's easy to look back and remember the finish and the long winning streak that season, but things looked bad early.

That said, the situations aren't as similar as Wallace makes them out to be.

1. Losing Beasley, Walker and Stewart > Losing Omari, Spradling and Shane.

2. That KSU team blew out crappy opponents, but lost close non-con roadies/ neutrals to Kentucky, Iowa and at Oregon.

3. 2008-09 actually was young. Pullen was third fiddle the season before at best. Jamar was a RS frosh. White Tiger (not Brad Korn) was our starting big. Denis was in his first season as a transfer. Foster was the best player last year, and Wes was a big contributor as a frosh. Gip looked like a surefire 12 and 8 guy. K-State returned a lot.

4. Two things are working against this team. a) the Big 12 is much tougher now than then, and it will take a 10-8 Big 12 record just to make the NIT. b) oscar's history of collapse looms large.

you gotta admit that it was a pretty flukey loss

I'd say it was law of averages. KSU has squeaked out a few wins with similar performances already this year.

Big talk from a guy who refused to track down his phone's captors, despite many pleas and generous offers from the board.

Just went to see if they've uploaded any new pics. Not for awhile, but I did find this gem.

It's a shame all of these once-proud institutions have succumbed to the temptation of a few dollars saved and a few less worries over grounds keeping.

yep. texas, oregon, michigan, ohio state, and notre dame are worried about money. good call.  :Woot:

just a tremendous fall from grace. srsly tho, I just like grass. I get that turf helps with injuries, saves money, work, etc.

Turf sucks anyway. KSU needs to quit being small-time and get grass.

Guys, it's the exact same turf as ours. The only difference is that they have patches where the mound and the baselines are. Most stadiums don't have full dirt infields like the Trop does so their patches have to be bigger than normal. Don't know if anyone noticed or not but they have a MLB/Rays/FieldTurf logo on their third base line for baseball, they didn't cover that up so it was awkwardly sitting on the paint in NCSU's endzone.

Should have left the dirt uncovered imo.

Just add some Louisiana Hot Sauce to those B's and G, and then you've got a real treat.

I'm guessing a huge number of people are uploading their pictures to google or icloud without knowing it.

When I got my current phone, I had to opt out of photos automatically uploading. I didn't even realize that it was happening until I was taking photos of other people's children for work with my phone and I noticed the little upload/download arrow in the status bar. I had to go into my Google+ account , that I didn't even sign up for, for my first and only time to delete those photos and others that I didn't even know were there and to opt out of the auto uploading.

This is what happened to Nicname's phone when it got stolen, right?

Yes.

The president has a list of people he wants to kill and dispatches remote control robots to kill them.

The CIA tortured tons of people, killed lots of people, spied on Congress when they did an investigative report and now refuses to allow the release of the report.

Most commodities are priced by cartels.

We live in an oligarchy.

It is pretty disappointing that the majority of Americans are awful people.

The majority of humans are awful people.

Naw

Of course they are.  They just lie to themselves and others about it.

Most people are pretty good.
