Fact: There are 53 active NCAA head coaches who have coached at least 10 NCAA tournament games.

Also fact: oscar Weber’s .556 winning percentage (15-12) is tied with Virginia’s Tony Bennett for 17th out of those 53.

Fact: As of 2018 there were 75 coaches to have coached at least 20 NCAA tournament games (all time).

Also fact: oscar Weber’s 15-12 (.556) places him at No. 46 on this list. He’s 14th out of 24 active coaches meeting the 20 game minimum.

He most definitely screwed the The Flush thing up, you can't even give him credit for consistency because he played Carti with two. He makes mistakes, all coaches do, he still hasn't overcame the circumstances of his hire which magnifies his individual mistakes, and makes them less forgivable, to much of the fan base.

He’s just so risk-averse. It’s really my only hang up on oscar. He’s obviously a good to very good DI coach. He’s really a lot like Snyder in that regard, especially 2.0. Both take the air out of the ball too early at times. Where Bill micromanaged everything, oscar seems to over-coach during the game a bit much for my taste.

a pretty big plus that wade has going in his favor is that he is a kansas kid. for some reason that makes a difference in how people think of players. like, people love sproles and jordy but they love them a lot more because they both grew up in ks and went to ks highschools. if barry was from abilene and dean was from wisconsin, it would be amazing how much more love bbj would get and how much less dean would get. boom there's a new take for everyone.

This is correct. I resemble this as well.

I think Dean will be a pretty great b-ball alum as well. I think we will see him at a lot of Cats games/events going forward.

Man, he’s way up there for me. He’s a rare what-might-have-been case, because he still has some pretty heavy accomplishments/ moments that we can look back on. I’ll miss watching him play greatly.

That's insane, great research nicname

A guy on of the selection shows mentioned the number of slow teams in the region in passing. Super weird.

We all know our Cats play at a slow pace (frustratingly so at times, but whatevs), but this year the NCAA committee has decided to group KSU with all the other slowest teams in the country it seems. It starts at the top, with the best slow team of them all in Virginia. Is this good for KSU? Should our Cats look to push tempo, especially with a healthy Diarra and potentially no Wade?

Seed. Team Possessions (tempo rank)
1. Virginia 59.3 (353)
16. Gardner Webb 67.1 (196)

8. Ole Miss 68.3 (129)
9. Oklahoma 68.7 (112)

5. Wisconsin 63.6 (332)
12. Oregon 64.1 (328)

4. K-State 63 (342)
13. UC Irvine 65.1 (296)

6. Villanova 63.6 (333)
11. St. Mary's 62.6 (347)

3. Purdue 65.6 (276)
14. Old Dominion 64.3 (325)

7. Cincinnati 63.2 (338)
10. Iowa 69.4 (82)

2. Tennessee 67.7 (155)
15. Colgate 66.3 (236)

I mean half of the teams in the region are ranked 300 or lower in kenpom adjusted tempo, and that's not even counting UC Irvine at 296.

If KSU [63 (342)] wins and the bracket plays to chalk Cat opponents would be:
UC Irvine 65.1 (296)
Wisconsin 63.6 (332)
Virginia 59.3 (353)
Tenn 67.7 (155)

Holly saying "tummy" twice was very adorable.

Yes agree. Like she was his mom. Xavier are you having some tummy issues?

It was fantastic.

Tournament time is very fun.

oscar's goofiness has evolved to incorporate his newfound big daddy outbursts that are both hilarious and badass, so personality-wise he's fine with me now. basketball-wise this team is tough as eff in its own right and the carti windmill/The Flush's confidence are fistpump-worthy developments in themselves. and the wins have finally come, which is the most important thing.

i mean trim 3:16 for sure but i think this team is extremely likeable if you give them a chance.

Me jumping in the engine to help drive the Trice train.  :emawkid:

I hope he can convince the rest of the team to rock the elite white nike headband. SNW and X are already on board.

Can you imagine having three headband guys in the starting lineup?

osu is going to give ku a fight on Saturday.

OSU fought valiantly, but was unable to be a spoiler for our Cats.
