Giving KU their walking papers would be awesome. I wonder how much it would cost the conference to kick them out? It would be total  :bwpopcorn:.

Kentucky has a much better basketball and football program, in the SEC, and everyone still thinks of them as meh.

Here is how I perceive the SEC pecking order, ranked from last to first:

Vandy
Missouri
Miss State/Ole Miss/South Carolina
Arkansas
Kentucky
Tennessee
Texas A&M
Auburn
LSU
Florida
Georgia
Alabama
I'd put Mizzou over the Mississippi schools but that is pretty dead on.

i think i've watched every norm macdonald video on the internet the last 24 hours

He probably even funnier during interviews, like on Conan than his actual comedy, which was also top tier.

the play-by-play folks were at the game :dunno:

And they had a sideline guy with lots of gusto!

Oh man he was great. Brandon Weeden and the chick. Not so much. Pbp was good but that voice. No thanks.

It doesn't bother me that much that I have to stream the game. I just wish that ESPN+ wasn't such a shitty streaming service. I really hope our next deal is with Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon.

yeah it's really bad. I don't know if it's the camera/satellite feed or what but the video quality was terrible for SIU. At least it was up the whole time unlike earlier football broadcasts.

Sometimes the schools themselves do the production of the ESPN+ broadcasts, sometimes ESPN does. For some reason ESPN did for the SIU game. K-State has one of the best on site production set up in America, and we usually do our own for all ESPN+ broadcasts regardless of sport.

It’s really very nice.

Lol at that list.

I’d have Oregon, Wiscy, Iowa, Minnesota, basically any Big Ten west team outside nubb.

WTF? lol

Prob shows my work ethic (or lack of it), that I always think the best jobs are ones where it is easy to do pretty good and people love you for it.

Best Bball jobs is easier. It’s like any big time football school: Florida, Texas, types.  Easy to win. No pressure.

At this point, I would give him a shot. Why not?

one reason is he's probably worse :dunno:

I think our coaching staff is enamored with the physical stature of Will Howard.

A- source that Rubley's physical stature is one of the reasons he's been deemed not ready although he's more experienced in the program than Will was last year.

that seems like something that could improve without in-game reps!

Roids and gym reps.

I’d have Oregon, Wiscy, Iowa, Minnesota, basically any Big Ten west team outside nubb. Those schools will love you forever and pay you piles of money for a modicum of success, and they have the resources to do it. Oregon isn’t the same, but it’s Oregon.

Yes, bandages for Will Howards elbows and forearms after pounding himself into a pulp for ol’ KSU. Rubley will pass Howard for QB soon enough and then get drafted into the NFL because he is going to be awesome at passing TDs.

USC coach under pressure because of loss to Stanford 'cuz Stanford lost to K-State:

USC, which was ranked 14th in the AP poll going into the game, lost at home by two touchdowns to Stanford. The Trojans were favored by more than two touchdowns over the Cardinal, who were coming off a blowout loss to Kansas State in Week 1.

Los Angeles Times columnist Brady McCollough wrote on Sunday that the USC administration has to act boldly and move on from Helton.

“USC should be better than losing 42-28 to a Stanford team that just got waxed by Kansas State,”

Thought that name looked familiar. That being said, I don't think that's really that bad a take. Top 15 team losing by 2 TDs to an unranked team that just lost by 3+ TDs to another unranked team is not a good look, even if the transitive property never truly hold up
The insinuation is that a decent team wouldn't get waxed by Kansas State.

Apparently it was a persuasive argument because USC just whacked Helton.

I mean what I said is true, even if it's a bit of a dig at us, I don't care about the subtle dig, it wasn't like the rant and ravings of that miami guy 9 years ago when we just obliterated them, we were at least slated to be a really good team. This year I don't blame people for thinking we're middle of the pack, we kinda are (defense upper level though).

It's def hasty on USC's end but I mean, but I mean if a #14 A&M let's say just got throttled by Tennessee after they were being throttled by like Colorado or something you'd be asking some questions too. USC is too quick with the trigger but I mean we did render Stanford impotent by us. Seems like you got some soul searching a program if that happens.

That’s a lot of words to defend a squawk — and seem pretty squawk-like by proxy.

Meh, media people are w/e, I don't care, I know it makes me hypocritical to get uppity about people getting uppity about media crap but it's like the 2nd or 3rd dumbest thing to care about. At the end of the day he divined right what ultimately USC should do, not that I bet USC cared about it at all, nor anyone in la except like 10 rich people do.

I’m just shitpostin’ brah

let's talk Nevada.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DT77pJ4j_6I

their QB (Carson Strong) is good. nfl prospect. has a good arm but is very slow, and has a knee brace on.

game plan: BLITZ THE eff OUT OF HIM

I agree with non-stop blitzing 24/7/365.  The book on Carson Strong has always been that if you sack the ever loving crap out of him non-stop he can't throw as well.

Also, their run defense sucks huge balls and taints, so our running game (especially w/ the qb battering ram offense) should to a great job of keeping him off the field and our stud/boss pass rush primed to inflict max damage on molasses foot Strong.

He should be in Geno Smith mode midway thru the third qtr

Imagine running to a group of people who see you as a bitch, just for a couple more dollars.

Especially, when the money means far less to you than it would to others. The extra SECspn money is nothing their donors can’t make up with little effort. The influence they’ll lose will be a sight to behold.

There is no threat to burn Rubely’s rs, even if he plays. Just battering ram Howard and feed the three-headed monster (Jac, Swervin Ervin, and Deuce) until Thompson comes back.

We should be able to roll over Nevada’s run defense anyway.

I’m fine w/ the T-shape in the latest rendo. Still think two fields bumped up against Vanier, basically flush w/ the practice facility would be best.

Based on my review of Nevada's games so far: their run defense is total garbage.  K-State facing this defense this week is a godsend.  Truly a miracle.

Cal's running backs rushed for 7.5 ypc.  They gave it to their RBs just 21 times. SMH.  Meanwhile, they threw the ball 38 times for 4.7 ypa.  Idaho State's RB also got 7.5 ypc.  F worrying about building up Howard's confidence this week.  Feed the runningbacks early and often.  I want the 3 headed monster to get 40 carries.  Let Howard carry it 10 times too if he wants.

They have an average pass defense and an above average pass rush in my view.

Go rush for 300 yards, run 3-3-5 all game to try and stop that mad bomber crap they pull, and we should win by 3 scores.

Will Howard will never make a dime playing quarterback anywhere else. At Kansas State he has opportunity the opportunity to earn immortality — and cold hard cash. Klein and Mess must go all in on the QB battering ram offense until Thompson returns.
