Texting has its benefits but the cons can outweigh it.. It is nice to be able to easily keep in touch throughout the day even while busy.. plus dick pics

Yeah seems like texting could be beneficial but Facebook may be a problem. I mean you have to figure out when/if to change your relationship status and then hope that the person doesn't reject it.

Yup. Especially if you're dating a K-Stater with mutual friends. Then, you're like, "oh, crap. She's friends with her? I hope they don't talk much anymore. Oh? What's that? You're best friends and you're going out this weekend together? Don't bring my name up! "

What is everyone's view on getting back with old flames?

Dated a girl for about a year and broke up with her September of 11. She took it rough, defriended me on FB and everything.

Feel like i maybe made a mistake as she's a real nice girl and I just kind of panic'd at the 1 year mark and broke it off quickly. I started texting her again a couple months ago, after getting throught the hate texts she met me for drinks last week and we are planning to hang out again soon.

Update-

Things have been going great! In fact she just re-accepted my FB friend request after 5 months of it sitting in her inbox! (She says she never gets on FB)

No idea what your situation was but when I wanted to get back with an old fling I straight up told her I was young and immature and made a mistake. Seems like its a pretty boilerplate approach to take.

Well, at least you now have more insight into what she is prioritizing.  More info is always good.

The whole situation is beyond complicated. My first post on the subject was literally the most I've talked about it with anyone in a long time, I tend to hold things in. Then 10 minutes later she texts me with the news.

Looks like it's time for ERII to start saving $$ to move out to Colorado

Didn't work the first time, don't beat yourself up over it and just walkaway.  It's the best advice i can give you (i've been there before).

Tell her you are going to publish the pics if you don't get the house.  Even if you don't have pics.

So still trying to get over this philly... And sorry to detract from your meltdown, Ell.

She asks me on the date what my favorite sport is to which I reply, "Cats football"

I politely return the question and she mentioned that she loves following basketball. I of course ask a follow up (and I thought I was asking something I knew the answer to already) of "what's your favorite team?" (please note that she is a 'Cat grad)

She then says, "oh I love the Jayhawks"

WOW. The rest of the night I was completely distracted while thinking about if that was a deal breaker or not. The worst part... I still don't know. Thought she was pretty cool otherwise.

Yeah, DOOM, do what you want. However, I will tell you, I've dated a crap ton of squawks. Don't let that be the barrier. Sometimes it can be fun, if she isn't a total Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) about it when it comes to the sports season.

ben ji, you dont need any game or apologies (no one ever needs apologies) when you have an adorable puppy like lady.

just ask to do something outdoors and boom, lady does the rest. why else do you have a dog...?
