Hey guys. Long time, no post. Back at it with some super insidery info.

Word from my source who was at practice today is that Self booted Vick from the team “because he’s a disrespectful bad person.”

UK is undoubtabuially the best program in the nation.  so jello of them.  i hope they win.  so fun to watch slam jam dunk shotting all over faces

Fantastic thread. Thanks for the read, guys.

Every school like Auburn that approaches him is just another bargaining chip in his pocket for when a decent school comes calling. Too bad Okie State played well enough for Travis Ford to keep his job, oscar Pearl would have done very well there.

Wouldn't even have to buy new chest paint.

Would you look at that:  Danny Manning has Tulsa in the tournament in year 2.   Former big 12 assistants are doing great this year.

Frank's not. :)
yes he is
No, he's not.

He was one win better this year than last. Finished 13th once again in a conference full of pud teams.

Is today the biggest game in ISU's athletic history?
They won it in 2000. Believe that was the same year they lost a heartbreaker to Michigan St. to get to the F4. But outside of that 3 week span, yeah, probably.

Remember when he yelled to the bench at Curt to stop being such a FP, TC, etc.? I do.

FWIW, incredible family. Mom was hilarious. Think he said the guy was his brother, but we all just sat around while they waited and talked tourney seeds, FPD, life in general really. We need to get Omari to post here once the season's over.

Hey T-bone, do you think EMAPE knew why you wanted the picture taken?

Doubt it. I'm a pretty smooth operator. Though he seems like the kind of guy that would lurk here, so if not he does now.

Almost completely forgot I got this shot on FPD. I was at about a 4.5 at the time. Omari and fam came into Thread and mom decided to get a shirt made. Once I saw which shirt she got I knew I had to get a photo op. #emape apparently runs in the family.

I believe his foot hit the ground before he released the ball. If so, the .1 that ran off the clock is about right. In that scenario, clock would not run to 0. Either way, amazing hustle.

I'm a fan of the new Fritos® Chicken Enchilada Melt at Subway and I hope it does well.

I'm just glad that McConaughey got the recognition that he deserves and won an Oscar for his work on True Detective.

yeah i think everyone was well aware that 'dallas buyers club' was just a cover

I bet if you play his acceptance speech backwards he tells ya whodunnit. That's how masterfully crafted this show is.

That said, ep 7 was probably my least favorite of the bunch. Plot lines were all so disparate. Looks like they're just arranging all their pieces for the big finish. Happens often with penultimate episodes.

Monster indeed!

This article doesn't even begin to describe how much of a "spoilsport" he was last night.  :peek:

I'll go:

Clemente
Pullen
Sutton
Kelly
Beasley

My team of Denis, Jake, Cartier, Bill, and Mike would beat your team 79 times out of 100.

21
it was discussed on gopowercat. didn't mean to involve you guys with that.

Assuming any combination of words you read there will be reiterated here is fallacy.

22
Michael Beasley (26.2 PPG, 12.4 RPG, 53.2 FG%) was the best college basketball player since 2000 in my opinion.  I'd put Durant at 2 (25.8 PPG, 11.1 RPG, 47.3 FG%), and Stephen Curry a somewhat distant 3 (25.3 PPG, 46.6 FG%, 87.5 FT%)...no one else is even close.

So, if you think anyone else who ever played at KSU is anywhere close to Beasley, then I think you are a rough ridin' fool.

I had forgotten just how ridiculous his numbers were, especially his rebounding numbers.

Remember when he broke the K-State rebounds record in his first game as a Cat? Good times.

23
Beasley is the best player I have ever watched in a K-State uniform, and will likely be the best player I ever see in a K-State uniform in my life. His offensive efficiency and rebounding are like video game numbers. If he hadn't been on a total transition team with little real experience around him or had stayed for a 2nd season he would've led K-State to a Final 4. I'm convinced of that.

This makes my heart weep.

I absolutely loved the way Hoskins played in 2007 and was absolutely crushed that his knee got hurt and he could not play with Mike and Bill in 2008.  I just don't have the heart to leave him off the team.  I would take a 2007 Hoskins any time, anywhere.  Ever since then whenever I shoot baskets at the rec or anywhere else I pretend that I am Hoskins making game-winners left and right.

Totally agree. We would have been AMAZING in 2008 if Hoskins hadn't gotten hurt.

Heartbreaking. Had he been cleared to play he would be in the conversation for top 10 all-time. His assist numbers would have been through the roof with his ability to drive and dish/feed from the high post having Bill and Mike there for wraparounds/oops. He would have slotted nicely at the 3 having those two there as well, and wouldn't have been completely undersized against every opponent he faced. That's a top 5 what-might-have-been moment alongside Merriwether's foul at the end of the Xavier game. I still genuinely believe we could have had ourselves a NC that year if we weren't dead against Butler. Just a bunch of JMHOs for ya.

25
Alright, who ya got?

Team A
1 Jacob Pullen
2 Rodney McGruder
3 Jamar Samuels
4 Bill Walker
5 Jordan Henriquez
b Angel Rodriguez
b David Hoskins

Team B
1 Denis Clemente
2 Marcus Foster
3 Cartier Martin
4 Michael Beasley
5 Curtis Kelly
b Dominique Sutton
b Wally Judge

Not bad. I honestly think Gip deserves consideration. I'd put him ahead of Judge and Sutton.

yes, better mid=range jump shot, and a year to play.
The progress he's made in 2 offseasons, the beard, the maturity. I keep forgetting he's only a junior. Yeah, my updated roster would have Gip over Wally.
