Not bad. I honestly think Gip deserves consideration. I'd put him ahead of Judge and Sutton.

But... like... who ya got?

Got some more super insidery info tonight re: KU's long bus ride home after the game: flaring tempers, a phone call made in the heat of the moment, and the abuse of public transportation seating. PM for deets.

Kansas State Football / Re: Which program is better? TCU bball or KU fball?
« on: February 25, 2014, 09:46:52 PM »
would it be more likely that the TCU bball team beats the KU fball team at a game of football or the KU fball team beats the TCU bball team at a game of basketball?

KU fball would win first. Deep bench.

I dove into the mythology of the yellow king and what might be intertwined into true detective.  Friendly advice...don't. Woof. My head hurts.

I've read a few blog posts analyzing the literary connections. Yeah, pretty mind numbing. Did come across a fantastic writeup on the direction the last few episodes might take based off the Yellow King references though:

I just finished The Last of Us.  Very solid game, a little slow at times but very enjoyable story line.

My gf bought a PS3 solely for this game. She loved it as well.

Top 10 games of all time. DLC just came out for it. Worth the download.

Balbay was a waaaaaaaaay better shooter than Jevon.
And still had fewer attempts per possession. That concludes my presentation. Appreciate your assistance.

Why doesn't oscar just give him a red light? He's such a contributor he would be an asset even if his mindset was to never, ever look at the rim (similar to his approach to layups). Like a hyperactive, more adorable Balbay 2.0.

He was never an offensive threat and he is getting wide open lay-ups because nobody keys on him  :dunno:
On defense earlier in the year, you could tell there was at least one of his knees that wasn't right. He's a decent athlete, and he was getting blown by guys that were losers because he couldn't change direction.
He still can't change direction. He jump stops on every closeout. Gets beat to the rim when he tries to guard anything outside of 8 feet. He's been used more lately under the rim as a fly swatter on D, and has worked on sealing off the high block and guards have been less reluctant to feed him for easy layups. Major, major improvements, but I'd hardly thank any gain in agility, coordination, or speed. More a shift in utilization.

i will do my part to make volunteer first base coaches cry this season.

Going to be a fun season.

This sounds like the best possible way to spend a Friday evening, getting pak'd, experiencing #titletown up close and personal, and enforcing homefield advantage on unsuspecting chumps.

May be LBCIQ, but my work schedule this spring will allow me to attend regularly this year. Where do I sign up to be a member of the gE Family Boozecrew?

we have our meetings in the first base bleachers. the opposing team's dugout is on that side too. give your best heckle, crush 8-bits and enjoy #boozecat season with your bros.
Is there a secret handshake or something, or do I just start heckling and hope for a warm embrace?

oscar needs to teach him to not come to a jump stop every time he closes out on a defender. Otherwise, really like what he brings to the team.

T-shirt fans butthurt over being too t-shirty to get the scoop on their own team.

Guys, what about golf, are we any good at golf?

There's a gorgeous Swedish coed in my studio that plays golf for the Cats. Talked her into "showing me the ropes" when it warms up. Was a 4 year letterman in HS. Gonna have to dumb my game down a bit. Long story short, can confirm the adorableness extends to the women's golf team.

Insidery sources tell me Jamari Taylor will be suspended for tomorrow night's game after being involved in an off-the-court altercation last night. Details not to be made public by the team.

Remind me what your @ is so I can credit you for this.

@JohnThunderbone. Follow me for all the insidery action. JK I don't tweet much.

J-T-Bone, feel free to PM any stuff that is TOO insidery to your best pal steve dave  :crossfingers:
Let's just say I may soon be related to someone that sits on KU's bench.

Dramane Diarra used to live with my roommate's grandparents as a foreign exchange thing while he was attending Cloud. He would occasionally stop by my house out of the blue strictly to call said roommate a "gay boy", and then proceed to be on his way to class. Pretty scary to walk downstairs and see someone of Dramane's stature standing in the hallway in pure silence. Irrelevant to the topic at hand, but just another page of K-State lore for your asses. Go EMAW!

'opher or 'etch?

Definitely 'opher.

Comet.

Calm mint.

Comment.

Hey J! Great night to be a cat, eh? Miss ya, buddy.

Also, this is both a like and a comment. Haven't shared because I don't necessarily "agree" with your entire statement. Can't independently verify firsthand that you got pakked with gE buds, but I trust it in my EMAW heart.

So many great posts in such a young thread. Good work, gE.

Side note, I high fived nearly the entire team tonight as they went into Jimmy John's, 'Tay included (who was looking extra adorable tonight). Used my hand and not my erect penis, as they were shortly to eat their victory Pepes, Gargantuans, and Turkey Toms, and we all know the gray area there with the whole touching dicks and eating food thing.
