For the past few weeks this bad person bird has been banging on my window in the kitchen. He just rams himself into the window over and over. I have put my kids stuffed animals in the window and it sometimes makes him stop. Hulk is currently doing a shitty job. I have taped foil over part of the window and that seems to help a bit, but the rough rider comes back every morning. Its driving me crazy. The best/worse part is that he is basically the spitting image of that red Angry Bird in the game. Its like the real life version of that bad person ramming into stuff.

Maybe you should invite it in? It could be an ancestor or lost loved one.

we're going to need video of this kamikaze bird

I'll see what I can do tomorrow morning. He must bang on other houses in the afternoons. He usually bails when he sees me and I'd give myself a negative 199% chance of figuring out how to load the video anyway.

that looks like an inviting setup to me. Maybe he just wants to hang.
Sometimes I think of the Book of Job and how God likes to really eff with people.

I work in a 3 story office building with reflective/mirror glass windows that back up to some woods. I recently moved to another side of the building and about once a week a bird will just fly straight into the window. My desk faces the window area so I'll just see a flash/hear a durp and then nothing. Took me a couple of weeks until I realized what was happening.

Here is another non amazing but similar bird/animal story.

It was a couple of years ago and I was riding in the backseat of a car from KC to manhattan to a wedding with an old GF and her friends. I'm sitting in the backseat just daydreaming staring out the window watching a hawk just soar alongside/in front of us as we drive.

Everyone else was deep in conversation when I saw the hawk make a 90 degree dive turn and fly across the highway...It was coming right in front of the car and all I could think to say was "Incoming"....

Before anyone could process what I said the hawk just slammed into the upper right portion of the windshield leaving a huge crack where it hit...Everyone was all riled up saying "WTF Just happened" and old ben ji had to inform them that a hawk casually kamikaze'd their car.

Put Hootie (our fake owl) next to the window outside and that worked for a bit, but Angry Bird is back. Dino and Eagly joined the resistance this morning.

My dog caught his 2nd possum in our backyard since we've been here. He's never attacked them, but goes ape crap when he catches one, so I always rush to the backyard to make sure he hasn't been bitten by it. Anyways, this one played dead, so I got a shuffle and tossed him in my neighbors vacant yard. What are the proper procedures to do with these things?

My dogs usually get a couple a year. If they are just playing dead I pick it up with a shovel and put it in the neighbor without a dog's backyard.

If it's dead dead which most of them are by the time I find them they just get shoveled into the trash.

I discovered not too long ago, that possums are clean animals and do not carry diseases like raccoons.  I usually catch them with live traps and relocate them to wilderness areas.
Hot time in Kat town tonight.

They just look nasty AF and I don’t trust where they’ve been. Their teeth are really sharp. I can only imagine what crazy crap they’ve been up to. 4 year old dog and a 2 and a half year old, don’t need them living in my backyard. They seem use to shovels either way. Doesn’t faze them.

possums aren’t aggressive at all, they’re really chill and really clean.  they eat wood ticks by the hundreds, really good to have around.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Yeah, possums aren't going to hurt your dog and are beneficial since they eat ticks.

Unfortunately they are slow and awkward AF so dogs can catch them very easily then they just play dead until your dog gets bored or actually kills them.

This lil guy got cornered in the garage last summer by my mutts. Hid behind a ladder where they couldn't get him before I was able to rescue him.

10/10, would do again
