Chiefs are rumored to still have an interest in Sean Smith and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, even after signing Robinson. Makes me think they are moving him (Robinson) to safety and eventually parting ways with Kendrick Lewis.

Fitzpatrick would be a terrible get. The last thing we need is to overpay for a QB controversy between average QBs.

May just be the homer in me, but if Alex Smith can play like he has the last 2 seasons, then the Chiefs will have an above average QB.

$3mil/year is just way too much. I suppose what makes me most upset about this deal is the realization (and yes we kind of already knew after smith) that we have no intention of drafting a QB, even in the later rounds. Oh well...

3 mil for a QB who has no NFL experience to be a back up seems way too much. Shouldn't of signed him and then drafted a QB in the late rounds and played just above the rookie minimum imo.

Yeah, or just keep Stanzi and pay him just above the league minimum.

The only logical reason to bring in a guy like Chase Daniel is to hope that him playing in the saints system behind a great QB like Brees would mean he's not gonna crap himself if Alex Smith goes down. There is no way they are dumb enough to think that he could compete for the starting job.
