CHIEFS
« on: July 29, 2010, 12:16:37 PM »
Don't really care for them. Still, I'm considering putting some cash on 'em to make Sundays interesting.

The season win total is set at 6.5. Do I take the over or under?

Huge CHIEFS fan right here. You guys, too?

7 wins are reasonable with an improved running game to take some pressure off of Cassel. Will be close though due to not adding any recievers that can catch a ball.

also lack of a defense isn't helpful.

first person to say eric berry is going to make their defense better is the biggest tard on the boards.

Over. 7-9

Schedule is very favorable.

I'm liking the negative stuff more right now. Romeo and Charlie scare me though.

Any thoughts about Jamaal Charles' being too good?

4-12.  Defense will still suck balls.  QB still sucks.

While the viability of renovating Arrowhead as oppossed to building a new stadium is another debate for another time.

It does appear that the White Trash Retards who go to Arrowhead on gamedays will have a nice venue to visit, and the handful of elites who stick to the suites and club level will have some really nice digs to insulate themselves from the great unwashed.

Wow, with that schedule 7 wins is doable.  I'd say 7 is the only chance of over, whereas 4-6 wins is a higher chance.  Go under.

Yeah, schedule is favorable.  Denver sucks. Oakland will be improved but will likely still suck. San Diego is likely to implode at any time - and that is just our division.

10-6, playoffs. It's the NFL. There are five new division winners per year, on average. Chiefs are in a weak division. With fans in the seats at the New Arrowhead the Chiefs will hold their own at home. They'll be favored in five -- maybe six -- of their home games. Their road schedule isn't brutal w/ winnable games at Cleveland, at St. Louis, at Oakland and at Seattle. The defense is a concern but I think they can finish in the top half of the league. I'm pumped about Charlie and Romeo being on the sidelines and Todd Haley growing as a head coach rather than spending all his time calling shitty plays and gambling on fourth-and-ridiculous.

The key, as many have said, is the home opener on MNF. Beat the Chargers (Chiefs are only 5.5-pt dogs) and they might get on a roll early with games against Cleveland and San Francisco in weeks 2 and 3. Then the bye in week 4, giving the national media plenty of time to take notice

And yes, I pick the Chiefs to make the playoffs every year.  :embarrassed:

We still have a shitty defense.  Teams will score A LOT on us.  I'm starting to lose my fan-hood and become more realistic.  I'd bet under 6 wins and we lose a few of those "winnable" away games.   :blindfold:

Jamal Charles has stolen my heart, and given me hope for the future.

- I love the pickup of Thomas Jones.

-Havent given up on Matt Cassell...yet.

- Eric Berry will be a Manimal.

- prediction:6 wins.

Or the Steelers.  The Cowboys are garbage compared to them.  I think everyone should root for the Yankees, Steelers, and the Celtics, because they win more titles than any of those other garbage teams.  Then we would all get along.
