Some sort of varmit came to my door this morning. Lil sd just calmly said, “there’s a beaver out here”.

Beavers and groundhogs look alike, except for the tail. Def not a beaver. Also, varmint*****

Those little bastards like to dig tunnels.  Before you know it, they'll have so many tunnels under your house the concrete will cave in.  Get pest control asap.

He’s pretty cool looking. I’ll just take the tunnels.

Better tell the kids to stay away from its cubs.  They get very territorial around the cubs.

Also, I would have your kids start wearing halloween masks backwards on their heads when outside around your house to discourage attacks.  This predator prefers to attack people from behind.

After all this rain, I saw a mallard just sitting in our backyard yesterday and thought it was super random. He flew off when I tried to take a pic and didn't think anything of it, until I saw the Mrs sitting in our tree stump this morning. She flew off once my dog went in the backyard to do his business and he kept sniffing around the stump, so I had to check it out.

These ducks laid their eggs in our stump over the past few days:

Apparently it takes about 29 days for the eggs to hatch. These lil guys are screwed, right? Gator (dog) like to roam the backyard and the ducks are scared of him. What would you do?

We have those cute little ones (ground squirrels)? My cat use to kill them and I always felt bad and would cheer for them when my cat was on the chase. Now that my cat is dead, they are basically my pals when the dog isn't around. I can sit on my patio and they will come out and walk right by me not giving any shits. They know i'm cool with them and will yell at doggie if she chases them. They do make me mad sometimes though. At night, they apparently come out and eat nuts and stuff on the patio furniture and have stained my cushions.

**WARNING: THIS AMAZING ANIMAL STORY CONTAINS SAD/GROSS ANIMAL CONTENT**

So last week I went downstairs and immediately smelled a gross smell.  I said out loud to my wife "it smells like something died down here".  But nothing dead was anywhere to be seen.  The next day it was much worse so I moved the washer and dryer to look under them and in doing so noticed that the worst of the smell was coming from the dryer.  So I unhooked the vent ducts and they were clear but then I looked into the vent hole in the back of the dryer and what did my eyes see but a gigantic dead chipmunk that was half melted and stuck to the metal pipe.  The dryer vents out and up to a concrete patio and has a cover over it so that air can blow out but not in.  Little guy must have somehow opened it up though.  It was super gross and I never get nauseous with gross stuff but I almost hurled and puked and barfed everywhere while I was cleaning it up.  The End.

Wacky, you have no choice but to keep gator on a leash/away from the nest until the eggs hatch and they do their cute little duckling march out of your yard.

I know, we might get like a little fence or something to put around it.

Haha. Honestly, what do you do with them when they're done? Ask the mom and dad duck to get in a cage, so we can release them down by the creek with their babies?

Open your gate and let them make their way out into the real world? Or just keep them  :emawkid:
