I was quietly sitting in my yard watching the birds and rabbits and squirrels when, out of nowhere, I heard this huge woosh of air. I immediately turned my head to look, saw all the animals scatter, absolutely hauling motherfucking ass in every direction, and in the very next instant saw this rough ridin' falcon in dive bomb form come into view from straight above. It missed whatever it was after and was flying away over my head in the next instant. The whole thing happend in like two seconds. The noise from the rush of air was just incredible and I hope I can experience that again someday.

I wish I could ID all of the types of hawks and falcons I see, but it's too hard to get a good look at them.

There was an injured bird in my yard and my dog went straight after it trying to play (very roughly). Ended up killing it before I could get her away. Like 4 or 5 other birds were chirping like crazy from the trees above and started dive bombing my dog. I went to grab a shovel to scoop up the dead bird and throw it over the fence to the city's property. While walking to the dead bird, my dog locks in on a dive bomber and snatches it out of the air. So then I had to throw 2 dead birds over the fence. It's like the third or fourth time I've seen her catch a flying bird, I've never seen any of my other dogs through the years do this.

MY wife's pug gets into a barking frenzy with a large hoot owl that sits in a tree branch about 20 feet above ground.  They take turns barking/hooting at one another.  This goes on for hours sometimes.  I got a feeling they enjoy each other's company.

yeah, until that big ass owl gets sick of that giant fat short nosed rat (birds don't know the difference) and swoops down and takes it out. Our senior Chihuahua has developed this deep seeded necessity to go out in our front yard where we have about an acre of trees and underbrush to take a crap every morning. I feel it's just a matter of time before he finds a copperhead or a hawk finds him. When it's nice out, I at least sit on the porch to watch him while I put on my socks or get dressed (we live in the country so no chance of indecent exposure charges)

Tag, my wife's pug is a cross with a Chihuahua and is as tuff as nails.  A couple months after we got him we heard a pack of coyotes one evening.  This got the little fellow all excited and he shot out the front door as I opened it to see where they were at.  My wife and I looked for him, even thou I thought he was a goner.  We both heard him getting into a fight with the pack.  But he did limp home about a half hour latter.  He got bite in the front chest and on the leg.  Took him to the vet and was told he was going to be aright.  About six weeks latter, we heard the coyotes again.  We weren't to worried about the little guy, since we figured he learned his lesson.  That was a mistake, because again he shot out the front door to go after the coyotes again.  This time I was the only one home, so I looked all over for him.  But all the while thinking he was lost.  We have a small farm with lots of trees and that where the coyotes were.  Well heavens to be, he shows up again with several bites on him.  He's one tuff little bastard.  Besides he killed a six foot black snake the other day and kills lots of small animals all year round.

liblib, please rename your dog to "eagle owl dog".  you may call her eags or owlsie as a nickname.

The cows just thought they were going to get fed.

QFT.  When I would feed our cattle, my little brother would drive while I threw bale off the back of the truck.  We would always honk the horn to get their attention.  It never failed to get them to come running to us to eat the hay.  :Carl:
