I don't think the people offended by the sight of a black president are going to be able to get over it ever in their lives.

Like, goddam trump.  No one has ever had so much space rent free in a president’s head.  It’s humiliating and it forces the magas to scream themselves hoarse about Hillary

I just appreciate the fact that a billionaire Dem operative just openly advertises that he's prepared to spend millions to buy votes in Florida.

Very ballsy . . . congrats BidenVoter(s)

We'll add cold hard cash to the list of things Nancy Pelosi has in her quell.

Buy votes? You're assuming these people having their restitution paid are all democrats? Wasn't it a Republican governor serving at the same time as a Republican president that restored the voting rights?

Let me get this straight.  You just compared mechanisms and actions of elected officials working through the legislative/regulatory process in their jurisdiction, to the actions of a non elected political operative?

I didn't do that at all, I asked you a couple of questions about what you posted, which you didn't answer. I didn't state my opinion of how Michael Bloomberg spent his money.

The political party of the Governor working through the legislative process is utterly immaterial.   Note that I didn't say a thing about whether felons should be allowed to vote.    All you have to do is read the words and the acknowledgement by Bloomberg that Florida is likely going to be a tightly contested swing state and that tells you all  you need to know relative to his intentions and what he believes will occur by his financial activity.   If Bloomberg thought his paying off the fines was going to benefit Trump and Republicans he wouldn't spend a dime.

I'm well aware of what his motivation for doing what he's doing, I just find it interesting that the both of you make the same assumption. I don't think that a massive majority of convicted felons from Florida are loyal voting democrats. Even if his and your assumption is correct I think this is a horrid waste of money. If he wanted to help these released felons or if he wanted to help disenfranchised democrats, there are much better ways to do so.

Just saw a 60 minutes piece on the Florida felon voting laws. The insane way that the Florida Republican Party has intentionally disenfranchised these people is absolutely disgusting. The Koch Brothers helped the ACLU get these felons their rights back, then when Republicans saw they were primarily registering as democrats, they literally changed the law. Now the Republican AG is trying to rule the donations to the felons, illegal. I hope they get every penny of those restitutions and court fees paid.

Alright weirdo trumpers on this board you got some explaining to do.... Are you a proud boy being told by his grand wizard to stand back and stand by? For those of you that need context. Moderator Chris Wallace asked the US president during the first presidential debate whether he would condemn white supremacists, to which Trump replied, “Sure, I’m willing to do that...Proud Boys, stand back and stand by.” According to the Washington Post, the Proud Boys have been described by the FBI as a far-right, male-exclusive group and the bureau also considers the group to have ties to white nationalism, an assertion to which the group objected.

The old man didn't condemn a damned thing and instead gave a direct order to wait for his mark?

I can't wait for the explanation for this one.
