I just appreciate the fact that a billionaire Dem operative just openly advertises that he's prepared to spend millions to buy votes in Florida.

Very ballsy . . . congrats BidenVoter(s)

We'll add cold hard cash to the list of things Nancy Pelosi has in her quell.

Buy votes? You're assuming these people having their restitution paid are all democrats? Wasn't it a Republican governor serving at the same time as a Republican president that restored the voting rights?

Let me get this straight.  You just compared mechanisms and actions of elected officials working through the legislative/regulatory process in their jurisdiction, to the actions of a non elected political operative?

I didn't do that at all, I asked you a couple of questions about what you posted, which you didn't answer. I didn't state my opinion of how Michael Bloomberg spent his money.

The political party of the Governor working through the legislative process is utterly immaterial.   Note that I didn't say a thing about whether felons should be allowed to vote.    All you have to do is read the words and the acknowledgement by Bloomberg that Florida is likely going to be a tightly contested swing state and that tells you all  you need to know relative to his intentions and what he believes will occur by his financial activity.   If Bloomberg thought his paying off the fines was going to benefit Trump and Republicans he wouldn't spend a dime.

I'm well aware of what his motivation for doing what he's doing, I just find it interesting that the both of you make the same assumption. I don't think that a massive majority of convicted felons from Florida are loyal voting democrats. Even if his and your assumption is correct I think this is a horrid waste of money. If he wanted to help these released felons or if he wanted to help disenfranchised democrats, there are much better ways to do so.

Fantastic series of meltdowns (better than usual) by BidenVoter, including SteveDave

Why won't Trump just immediately concede when we unilaterally declare Biden the winner!! (Jan Brady BidenVoter)

It puts me at ease that Dax thinks this is all overreaction and it will go off without a hitch.  Great to hear.  Back to worrying about 200k Americans dying of a pandemic.

It's comforting to know that Phil still believes that it's a United States Pandemic and not a global healthcare emergency.   As we look across Europe (with the exception of one country that didn't listen to the CoronaBro's and for that they are to be congratulated) Covid-19 numbers are spiking. French hospitals are back at the breaking point.  The Spanish government is bringing the military in to help.   Angie Merkel (Vlad Putin's BFF) just extended restrictions for another 6 months.  At current trajectory the UK will be right back and even exceed March-April numbers.  Etc. etc. etc.    But drama queen Phil Titola views it as purely a U.S. problem.

On the election side BidenVoter brains of mush have clearly completely forgotten the regular and sustained BidenVoter Nation meltdowns relative to election outcomes, SCOTUS nomination etc. etc.   So that's why it's absolutely fascinating to see the reactions and the total lack of awareness and scope now.

One can only ask what will be the next thing that BidenVoter Mush Brains will want to change because they aren't getting their way with everything.
