Oh, and this has turned out well so far. Definitely a memorable story and we were out and about with some mutual friends this weekend. We shacked up but decided we shouldn't respect each other too much just yet.

Things got pretty hot and heavy when we got into a big debate that started with a comment about Cliven Bundy. I'm pretty big on the whole individual liberty deal and that the gov't works for us...she's a little left-of-center and thinks only the gov't can help people (i.e. taxing less wouldn't lead to even the slightest bit of an increase in charitable giving...not to mention the obvious job growth benefits). After I mushed her in our debate, she just jumped my bones and said she'd vote for me. 

Another case of a poster not knowing the origin or definition of the word respect. However, it does sound you like you were both very respectful of eachother's boundaries

I've got something I would like the boards opinion on.

My bff/former roomate is getting married at the end of May and I'm the best man. I've told my GF the date a couple of times before but its still like 3 months away so whatever. Anyways last weekend she asks what date the wedding is and then says "Ooo dang it, cant go"  because one of her co-workers is getting married that day.

My first reaction was  ... Co worker? Then she mentioned that all her work friends have already planned some sort of party bus/girls trip to the wedding etc etc.

I would understand if it was just a random friend of mine getting married but this is my bff and I'm the best man.

Am I wrong for being disappointed that she is choosing to go to her co-workers wedding?

UPDATE!

So the GF is still going to her friends wedding but it actually worked out kinda nice since all the other bro's either broke up with their GF's or their GF's cant go. My GF would of basically been riding solo the entire trip while I was out doing wedding stuff.

Also there is no one to pull me away from the blackjack table at 2am when I'm on a heater.

This one may drag out for a while though.. But I think you guys won't get to know each other for a while (hence the movies and no talking so it will still be exciting for a while) then after a while she will open up and you'll realize you don't like her or doing the same things but she's hot so you may over look it for a while
