First of all, you have no idea what Kaepernick is doing with his money or time; you have no idea what he supports and what he doesn't so maybe shove the fake outrage in your back pocket.

I'm not willing to accept that there will always be inequality and that's just how it is, nor should you. The viewpoint you expressed in that second paragraph is the textbook definition of white privilege. I'm not willing to accept that I am less likely to get equal medical treatment if I get sick or injured, I'm not willing to accept that my daughters are four times more likely than their classmates to get kicked out of school, I'm not willing to accept that it would be harder for me to rent property than someone with less money and melanin than I, I'm not willing to accept that if my wife and I die in a car wreck on the way to Kansas City tomorrow that my daughters are twice as likely to stay in the foster care system and get separated. Should I go on? Its easy for you to brush this stuff off because it isn't your reality, its mine, I can't just forget about it.

It's more of a big moment thing for me; first game, big game with a great atmosphere, championship game, etc.

I haven't surveyed by any means but in my industry there are a lot fewer camps that keep them on site. We still have trainer pens and trainon how to use them but don't carry the actual pens.

If we hit a triple play, can that count towards the record number of double plays? Could it count as 1.5 of them?

Four DP in five innings. A DP rate that only a porn star could love.

Just stopped in to say eff everything about this inning.

E-Rod walking the leadoff man and Perez, who walks 5 times a year, is inexcusable.

Royals bullpen just pitched 42-1/3 straight scoreless innings?

I'd consider it progress if our pen could hold a team to 4 in 2-1/3 innings.

Sons of Sam Horn?

Whoa, push the breaks, wtf is a is a ranch dressing sandwich and where do I get one?

Don't you guys get them at the secret meetings, like when we aren't around?

I am always at my seat for the anthem and I stand but it isn't because I want to. The practice of having to prove your patriotism, like a mindless drone, is showy and unnecessary. No one rough ridin' stands for the anthem when they're stuffing their faces, sitting on the couch, eating cool ranch doritos.

Glad you caught that.

26034
So do "minorities" on the "left" want "their time" with better treatment or do they just want equal opportunity? You're very confusing with your message

It is my understanding that minorities in general want "fair opportunity." Whether they are Democrats, Republicans, or third party.

It is also my understanding that minorities who want "equality" actually want an opportunity to be richer than everyone else because they were successful. They want the opportunity to drive a nicer car and live in a nicer house and go on fun vacations etc. because they excelled in their career. Which in and of itself means they would prefer special treatment to equality.

God, shut up. Ugh. This doesn't make any rough ridin' sense at all. I want equality and I'm certain I'm "richer" than most white people. I have all of that crap you're talking about and I still don't have equality.

I've met Paul Lepage, been in his presence more than once, and he's racist as eff.

26036
why does this matter?

All of this outrage is because of some guy saw a head at the bottom of a wide shot photo. He blew the photo up RTed it and started the outrage machine. What basic people don't understand is that by churning the outrage machine they are giving him a platform to draw attention to what he's doing.

Also I'd be willing to bet that 95% of the people mad about this fake issue are total hypocrites, including people itt. I guarantee you that if I walked in the parking lot during the K-State pre-game while the POWL are doing the ceremony of allegiance with a sign that says "I won't stand for the anthem either," I'd have people pissed off, completely unaware that they're picking having one more natty light and a ranch dressing sandwich over "honoring the country and the men fighting for it."

26037
You asked a very banal question and i furnished you the obvious answer. Nobody gives a crap about your anecdotal experiences, and you still don't seem to understand how illogical the "exercising freedoms the military preserve" argument is.

What personal anecdotal experience did I share? Do you know what that means? I wasn't alive during the Vietnam War.

They're stupidly rolling the dice, spending their money on one thing when it should be an epipen, is my point.

I just don't believe that the line between life and death is so razor thin that even $600 or whatever it is separates it.  It's not the lack of $600 that will kill these people, it's their stupidity or ignorance to not do everything it takes to come up with the $600 to get something they need, while at the same time consuming things they don't truly need.  It's an extreme example but being homeless and with epipen would logically be better than being with roof and without epipen.  I assume we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one.

You really don't know the rather large and sweeping false assumption you're making just to be right?

Maybe I don't.

If these people are so cheap why don't they just buy the generic?  It's muuuuuuuch cheaper and is even a 2-pack.

If you're speaking of adrenaclick, firstly it isn't a generic, more importantly it isn't easy to acquire although I'm guessing the last week has been a boon for them. You have to have a prescription, in the United States only, for adrenaclick or the epipen, and because of the amount of money Mylan flooded the market with, it is rarely asked for, prescribed by doctors, or carried by pharmacists. I wouldn't be shocked to hear that Mylan pays doctors to prescribe epipen, that isn't rare by any means. I'm sure this will and has changed somewhat but its worth noting that adrenaclick isn't "cheap."

I'm not sure the name of it.  Small town pharmacy talk ya know.

How does a business stock something that requires a prescription?

I'd guess it would be much easier for a daycare or a nature center to get a Rx than a tattoo parlor or a plumbing supply company but who knows my common sense radar may be completely off.

I'm not sure what your point was in asking such a stupid question, but if the point is that it is asinine that you need a prescription for an epipen or adrenaclick, I wholeheartedly agree.

26039
I need someone who is in the "you better respect the military" clan tell me why they are so against people exercising the freedoms that the military is supposedly fighting for. Seems like a contradiction, no?

The most obvious answer is because the military did, and this is commonly considered disrespectful of those who risked life and limb defending that freedom.

So, exercising free speech in this manner is contradictory in and of itself.

So we should discount military veterans who don't consider it disrespectful? Maybe it's because I know a lot more Vietnam Vets than than vets since then, but military guys being so easily offended is definitely a new thing, and usually politically motivated. It wasn't unusual for Vietnam Vets to come back and participate in anti-war protests and flag burnings.

26040
I mean, I always stand and take my hat off. Veterans like my father in law take it super seriously. He's a good man who fought in Vietnam. If its important to him then that's enough reason for me

My dad is a Vietnam Vet, drafted at 18 years old, now he's a retired drill sergeant. He's happy that Kaep is actually taking a stand, muddled as it may seem, and not just cashing checks.

no one thinks it's illegal, emo.  it's a symptom of a flawed system when a syringe filled with epinephrine that costs maybe a buck fifty to manufacture is sold for $600.

i don't get what your thing about "people can afford them" and they're a want not a need is about.  do you not know what epinephrine does?  some % of people that don't have them, but should, will die.  they're just rolling the dice.

I mean I would have thought my story about my ex-girlfriend having her life saved by epinephrine when she didn't even know she had a life threatening allergy would have illustrated that for him, but it's apparently more important to be right about an incorrect preconceived notion than to actually acquire knowledge. Oh well.

It's a stupid rough ridin' story unless you're advocating that everyone carry an epipen because they might have a life threatening allergy, in which case that's a rough ridin' stupid idea.

That was preceded by a story about how businesses used to carry epipens but now they don't. It's significantly cheaper for us to have an aed than epipens, that's rough ridin' tragic.

Stop trying to be so contrary, you're terrible at it.

It does in fact have to be that bag, which is even stupider.

No. No it doesn't.
That bag, or one similar in design (clear, same dimensions or smaller, etc)

Right, but the question was do you have to use that bag and the answer is no, you don't.

FSD and the republicans want to repeal the first amendment, donate here to stop them.

If the 49ers or NFL punish him, that's not a 1st amendment violation. there are rules at every job.

No crap? You're taking this a bit too seriously, AMERICA!

26049
If I did something at work that caused a bad light to be shined on the compnay I.would be canned.  If an NFL player uses free speech to make offensive comments about people of color, sex alignment, women, Hillary, or dog beating, they will get canned.  So why the double standard?  Or.does the NFL hold the same views?  He wants to be political - run for office.

If you would get canned this just means you should get better at your job. They did the pledge of allegiance where I worked, I banned it without asking anyone and no one said a damn thing to me.
