I like Mittie but the end of season problems seem to be a pattern. Now, how much of that is related to Lee's health? who knows.
He did a good job of adjusting the style when she was out but seems we hit a wall and didn't have an answer.
She's an all american, the leading scorer, rebounder, and shot blocker in school history, despite the injuries she's top 10 in conference history in all those stats as well. She's the all time record holder for points in a game, you know exactly what the impact of losing her is.
People are using the Baylor win last year and the TCU win this year as marks against Mittie instead of using those games to highlight his ability to put together an effective game plan if properly executed.
Maybe I'm wrong but I think they kind of clunked when they did have her healthy but that could be a misremembering on my part.
Yeah, after she came back last year we were not good, 5-5, bear in mind that Gabby Gregory was also injured then, she could barely shoot the ball. Teams just collapsed on Lee and we couldn't do anything to make them pay. Although this team has had some issues shooting the ball lately, her return, although I didn't think she looked great running in that video they released yesterday, should do wonders for spacing and getting open shots for Poindexter, Glenn, and Sides. Our two point guards should focus on other things other than shooting 3s.
