KSO has the mother of beefs and it has completely ruined the board, even worse than it already it's. MRAcat vs. Aggieville_08, I hate them both.
Aside from the ex-goEMAW'rs and people i know IRL, there's like 3 posters on KSO that I can distinguish.

Real being real, they don't have any more posters than we did in our heyday, they just have some real real real high volume shooters. There's about a dozen James Hardens over there, kinda makes the board crap. The info from the staff is decent, but I'm gonna bounce when my membership expires in August.

Chef reopened for carryout today

why weren't they open for carryout before?
Rennovations. Also under new ownership.

Kurstin sold after Kevin died?

Do q people keep most of this crap to themselves irl?

Of course.  If someone irl started telling you that JFK Jr. is working with trump (who actually isn't a total fat idiot but a secret mastermind) to rid the world of powerful pedos you'd think they were insane.

What if they told you about pizzagate?

So can bqqkie ever tailgate and stuff with us again, or does he have to find a katqak to pak with forever?

Of course he can.  It is fascinating for all of us.

He's going to annoy me, asking questions about what the blacks like.

Season 8 was fantastic and they absolutely nailed the landing. I think the uncertainty of the last 4 years of the show didn't allow season 8 to star like it should have. It's easily my favorite season.

I had Chartroose like a week ago and it was amaze.

I have to remind myself that place is real every time I hear the name

i live close to one, and have never been on name alone.

It's decent, not horrible but you're not missing a thing. My kids like it because they have arcade games.

The storm troopers must have felt restless not being able to harass people for two months, they've lost their minds, nationwide.

Quote
A Louisiana police officer was fired over a Facebook comment that said it was "unfortunate" more black people did not die of the coronavirus.

The chief of police in Kaplan, about 87 miles southwest of Baton Rouge, said Officer Steven Aucoin commented under a local news station's live feed of the governor's coronavirus news conference on May 15. Aucoin was fired later that day.

Yes, any statement or press conference devolves into crying about something.

the positive thing about hairdressers is they aren't in contact with many people at once. I don't have a link handy, but I've read about how contagious you are peaking fairly early and fading out over time. So there wouldn't be a lot of close contacts at the peak transmission rate like you probably saw with the Korean night club superspreading event.

Yeah, this person/people working out at the gym and doing whatever else they were doing is much more concerning to me.

Air conditioning and air filtration seems to be good at limiting spread right? That would give us an edge over the 1918 suckers.

Was the air conditioning sufficient in 2009?

I also think the second curve will happen before flu season because the behavior of the public has changed. That incident that happened at Great Clips in Springfield or Joplin or wherever will be repeated all over the country. When the breakouts started to happen people were okay with laying out. There are more active cases now than we had in mid March yet a large sector of the population wants to behave like they did in February, it's foolhardy to think this won't have consequences.

Has it been reported how many the Great Clips person actually infected?

People, there were two people working at the Great Clips with the rona, one of them also worked out at a gym in the same time period. There's no possible way they can have an accurate count, yet, as to how many of the approximately 150 people exposed just at the Great Clips are positive already, it hasn't even been a week yet.

What are the odds that one of those people exposed at Great Clips were at the Lake of the Ozarks or were exposed to someone else at the the lake/pool. Gotta be pretty high, right?

Get back to me when numbers end of week.

Sounds like everybody was wearing masks so will be interesting to see how many exposed become infected.  Hopefully a victory for #teammask

Do we even know if the state of Missouri have tested and are contact tracing all of these people and everyone else they potentially contacted? Also don't they have to be isolated and repeatedly tested for two weeks?

You'd think, but no it's ARM spelled backwards, that was his screen name when he was banned by Fitz.

Hell yes boys, both great news.

Watched two finales tonight. First I watched Better Call Saul, the second was The Plot Against America. This really drove home for me how mediocre Better Call Saul actually is. I know comparing anyone or anything to a David Simon project is completely unfair, but man watching those back to back was a contrast on how very little I've gotten out of BCS with the five year investment. The only character who has developed, at all, is Kim and I get no pleasure essentially watching her devolve. There was value having her as the moral string holding this together. I raised this question during the first season, and the fact that I'm asking it after the fifth is damning. Isn't this show much more enjoyable if you watched and liked Breaking Bad? I don't get how this holds up as great without that crutch.

The Plot Against America was a ride. The only reason I watched after episode 1 was because of David Simon. I knew it would pick up, come together, and make perfect sense. The characters were all great and the story was fantastic. I think this was my first historical fiction show, Treme kinda fits but not really, and I liked it. My only beef with the show is that Simon could have been more subtle with what he was illustrating with the show. This didn't have some coincidental parallels with our current political environment, it was just a straight dollar for dollar rip off of some of the things we argue about now. This was most apparent with the election day scene that wraps up the show. I guess when he's only working with five hours instead of several seasons, there isn't much time for subtlety. Anyway, it's pretty obvious this show is going to get a lot of Emmy nominations.

The last episodes take away any doubt about the statement he's making. Frankly, following him on twitter, I'm surprised it took him four years to make a show that expressed this sentiment.

The only thing I can't figure out, and it's an important piece of this, is the parallel of the rabbi. Maybe the rabbi character is a red herring?

I just finished this last night, really enjoyed it, but it's rough ridin' heavy.  As a Joco white dude I've got it pretty easy, though my wife is Jewish, so watching that hit home a little bit sort of.

My thought on the Rabbi is that it parallels the religious right as a whole hitching their wagons to DJT and MAGA?  For the rabbi he sold his people out to the nazis for personal power and prestige, the religious right sold out to MAGA for the anti-abortion judges.  Or it could be just a parallel to any one of numerous grifters who compromised themselves to be in the Trump orbit.  Just an idea, have you thought about it more?  I haven't read any internet theories on it or anything.

After this I discovered David Simon's podcast about the show, even though the podcast was plugged at the end of the episode. Any of you that watched the series absolutely must listen to the podcast. You'll get great value from them although you've finished the series. Simon gives amazing input on the series and the book, and it's a very easy listen.

Long story short, the Rabbi isn't a parallel with anything having to do with MAGA.

Here's my pocket cast link, just search the case against America to listen on whatever platform you use.

My God, dax is literally the world's biggest crybaby. It's typical MAGA to rough ridin' complain about everything, they're the most miserable people on the planet, but y'alls homeboy is so extra.

Even his gE signature outside of the bat crap stuff here in the pit, is complaining about KU. Find some happiness somewhere.

This doesn't seem very smart of Johnson County Kansas

Laura bowed under political pressure. Godspeed Kansas. Maybe Kansas and Iowa can run their own Little League World Series, outbreak edition.

There's guys like this in every police department, it wouldn't be hard to weed them out either, but there's no interest in that. Systematic racism allows this ticking time bomb to go off every day. It took a rando on twitter a couple of hours at most to find out this guy was unfit to be on the streets.
