Collin Klein is current leader at 27. MEATHOOK is at 4 thru 2 games, putting him on pace for 24 in the regular season. He would need 3 in the bowl game to tie the record and 4 to break it. Does he get there?

Kansas State Football / Offense: It's Bazooka Time
« on: September 15, 2015, 11:16:04 AM »
we need to adapt our offense to our QB. bazooka joe can throw the ball a quarter mile and were still running the offense like he has a noodle arm. he cant throw the ball into the flat to save his life.

im talking about sending burton and someone else (heath? davis? cook? silmon?! does it matter?) deep  often, like once every third or fourth play. i dont think our run game and short passing game are going to be good enough to rely on long drives during big 12 season to win us games. the deep ball is our friend now and we need to use it to stretch the D out. fire the bazooka! let joe scramble out of the pocket, which he is clearly more comfortable doing than running QB draw.

i know we did more of it against UTSA, but i wanna see it become the game plan. heres a diagram of the scripted first drive for la tech:

1st play-

2nd play-

3rd play-

rinse. repeat. thoughts?

Kansas State Basketball / Are we ever going to get an apology?
« on: February 25, 2015, 12:11:56 PM »
It's pretty clear that KU didn't want to apologize first for that vicious headlock choke slam their assistant coach gave to one of our Rhodes Scholars. Now that we've issued several apologies, including a personal one from Nathan Power, are we going to hear an apology for KU for their actions? I just saw a statement saying their coach didn't do anything wrong. That wouldn't fly with Mama Tonya.

Anytime my brother (goes to KU) and I got in a fight as kids, our mom would make us both apologize. It didn't matter who won the fight or who started it (I always won), it just mattered to her that since we are brothers and equals that we got along and both apologized. My older step-brother (went to Mizzou) usually stayed out of things because he said picking on my little brother wouldn't be a fair fight. They don't really talk anymore.

I don't need an apology to move on from this. I just think it's the right thing for KU athletics to do since we are, like my littlest brother and I, brothers and equals.

so oscar stays as our coach and continues to run the program into the ground.

Our guy Dan needs our support in graduating from McNeese. Once he does that, he can transfer back to EMAW University for his fifth year so we can begin our national championship run.

Post here with your support for Daniel's grades and his decision to come back.

were not actually tagged in the article (must have been a problem with the link), but Tim gave us some good publicity today. think of how many smart cat fans/students are going to read the collegian in class today and flock to our wonderful BBS to talk hoops!

Tim, youd make an excellent poster. post here if you need help picking a username!

i could look at a schedule to see who we play next, but id have no idea if they are any good. then i could look the other teams record to find out if they are any good, but id have no idea if their record is true to how good they are because i wouldnt know who theyve played. then i could look at who theyve played, but idk if those teams are any good or not. understand how confusing this is for me? _FANs stuff is really great but i want a quick 5 questions answered to find out if i should tune in to watch the game or not.

so, heres how this works. post ITT:

1- who do we play next?
2- are they any good? (scale of 1-7 is preferred but you can also use terms like "no they really suck" if the scale is too confusing)
3- when do we play them?
4- is the game on tv? if so, what channel?
5- does the other team have a kind of good player that i should know about? i want to be able to talk to my ksu buds before the game and say "yeah #4 is super good at shooting threes. if we can lock him up behind the arc we should win easily" and other hbbiq stuff that will make it sound like im paying attention to our hobby sport.

i will tune in when big 12 play starts and really hit the ground running thanks to you guys and this thread!

Essentially Flyertalk / this poster is (probably) this poster's IRL dad.

weve had a lot of family reunions in the GPC thread title of the day thread and its got me wondering if there are any more dad/son combos on gE that we dont even know about. allow me to speculate and then you guys can catch up on years of BBS interaction without even knowing.

internet hugs encouraged.

Kansas State Football / Is it crowded in here? (KSU FANS ONLY!)
« on: September 15, 2014, 12:52:19 PM »
Here's the deal- I understand that we're playing a non-conference game vs Auburn on Thursday and it's on national TV, but what's the deal with all these Auburn fans lining up at our BBS door like it's the dollar dance at a wedding? I've been a member here since 2010 and I have never seen an infestation like the one we have this week. So, what's the deal? Why is it so crowded in here?

I'm fine with fans of other schools coming to our board and posting "smack talk" about the game but I am yet to see one single post with any analysis or prediction of the game by an Auburn fan. What I do see, however, is a couple hundred posts by a few Auburn fans about how they don't have cable or internet in Alabama. Hur hur hur, we get it. You're trying to own the stereotypes, but is that what football is all about? Is that what BBS'ing is all about? I say no. This is our board and I love the open door policy we have, but I think this has gotten a little out of hand. The "Auburn trolling" train needs to turn around and came back where it came from. They are ruining our board with crappy posting and their smack talk is horrendous. This isn't how it should be!

Thoughts? Solutions to our problem?

Kansas State Football / Design our first drive
« on: August 13, 2014, 12:08:45 PM »
ok guys. first game of the season, were playing stone cold steve austin and they win the toss. they elect to receive and guess what? touchback. they go 3 and out and have a crappy punter probably so we call a fair catch at our own 35 yard line.

now its your turn... draw up some plays to get us into the end zone and start this season off right.

here are the only rules:

1- you have to call a false start penalty on us even though were playing at home and it should be dead quiet on offense.
2- you have to call a TO on a second down play
3- one play in your drive must be drawn up for baby Gronk because he is our best player
