I think it's the result of some work, personally. Or perhaps just poor aging. Not everyone can be old Harrison Ford.

This one has an episode 4 feel to it. Setting up from some crazy stuff in the next two. Wasn't surprised to only see Luke for 30 seconds at the end of the movie. I hope he plays a major role in the next one or two but I have a feeling his fate will be similar to Yoda and Obi-Wan's. I think Rey and Ren are bro/sis but that wasn't eluded to at all. Just like when Yoda said there was another in episode 5, I feel like Rey is the other since Ren turned on Luke and went to the Dark Side.

Also I'm thinking Finn might be a Jedi as well. He is not a clone and had the courage to leave the New Order. He seemed to handle a light saber pretty good.

Is Poe just some badass pilot? Is he similar to Han Solo? Curious as to how his character will continue to develop.

Maz is a grandmother full of wisdom. I like this character and hope to see more. She is like Yoda minus Jedi (unless she is a liar).

I thought Gwendoline Christie's character would play a bigger part. It didn't but I'm also ok with that.

Little Pete was heartbroken by this one. I mean, he was really torn up by the death of Han. Han was my favorite of all time as well, and if I had watched Han die when I was 8 years old I would have lost it too.

We were thinking Rey is Luke's kid, Ren's cousin. And, that Fin and Poe (and Rey) were all some of the younglings in Luke's program when it was disbanded.

I'm on board with Rey being Luke's kid. I 100% agree. But there's no way that she nor Finn were in the jedi program. They would have remembered that crap.

I'm still not sure what to think of the movie overall. I think it was a good reboot, but maybe expected more. There were some things that happened that didn't make sense. Like, when they blew up the Republic, that was the first mention of the Republic even existing still. Much less being a huge enemy.

I was in the "Luke stashed his daughter on Jakka in case some crap goes down" camp, but wouldn't Han and Leia know if Luke had a kid? She'd at least get a mention in the race to find Luke. Even if they thought Ren killed her in his massacre, you'd think they'd mention it when explaining why Luke went into exile.
