Rumor that big heads are being made for all of the Gameday anchors... :bwpopcorn:

would be elite if we did one for everyone but vitale

why?  Vitale is awesome for college basketball.

Would be hilarious if rival BBS'rs started outing each other via Big Heads.

as elite as it would be to have katpak, it would be much more than twice as elite to have both katpak and 33's angry, bball only katpak.

i wouldn't mind having that on a shirt, lazer bball only katpak with one foot... :crossfingers:

This is going to save the publishing industry.  We're going to make them buy a $600 piece of hardware and then pay a subscription fee so they can read something they could have read for free on their laptops.  Pure genius.

I don't expect this multitasking limitation to go on for very long.  They need a new iPhone OS and I'm guessing (hoping) they will allow all of these devices to multitask.
i think you're missing something

ya i guess you have to boil the water, or you could run the water through your regular machine and get it hot that way, just don't use any coffee in the machine.

also, the presses I've seen are decent size, 20 oz i'd guess.  about the size of a 12th St Pub cat cup, if not bigger.

sorry, i thought you went Hemmy on us.  and you're right, this thing is nothing more than a big ipod touch.

I get what you're saying about the App store, but in some ways it's good too because it doesn't allow people who don't know what they're doing to install crap software on their machines which in turn ends up screwing them up.  people buying this thing probably need that help.

some of you don't understand the definition of the word 'underrated'

Grapefruit Juice
i'm huge into the grapefruit juice scene.  Simply Grapefruit makes a quality gfj.

I quit drinking coffee 4 years ago.  I did eat at Panda Express yesterday for lunch though.  I got orange chicken and firecracker chicken.  both were excellent.

steve_d@v3, was the coffee from the Roasterie?

This is such a piece of crap.
i doubt it's a piece of crap, apple makes quality products.  definitely not for everyone though.

Ok, it won't break or anything, but it's a piece of crap product. Face it. Watch the video on apple.com. It's a complete joke. Lots of European looking guys in tight t shirts stroking it over their iphone XL saying how revolutionary and amazing it is without saying exactly how it is revolutionary and or amazing. For that much money, just buy a machine that can actually do every thing an $800 machine should be able to do. Whatever butt fracked Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) pays $800 and has to be told which applications he or she can or can't run is a fracking moron and shouldn't be allowed to vote, drive, or copulate.

And it would be fracking amazing if you could just tether your awesome iphone to this via USB to share internet. Too bad it can't tether to share internet and you'd have to get a dongle for a USB port- only the most common one in the world- but instead the Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) sheep line up and take it for $30 more a month.

the price points begin at $499 not $800.
when i go out to newegg.com and search their netbooks (which is what this thing essentially is), they range in price from $279 - $600.  like i said earlier, this fits a niche market, obviously not meant for a computer geek like myself unless I had money to burn, or you, but for some people, it works.   don't be so damn shortsighted.  the tablet market is just begining to take root, I'm sure you read engadget everyday so you  know what i'm talking about.  every major computer manufacturer is some stage of development of one.

i really don't get the pc-guy backlash towards apple.  i get the apple-guy backlash towards apple, they're the ones that got screwed by apple's growth, if anything pc-guy should be happy that microsoft cant schell crap products anymore and at least have some competition.

I'm still dying to know why fatty is in Cali.  He'll probably reveal it on ksufans.    :embarrassed:

it's hard not to post about it. i'm in cali, and you're not.

you know?

have you seen an ugly/fat person yet?

Nope. And you get really insecure about your entire life.  :runaway:

when don't you?

New 'Clams update - talked to one of my friends who knows the kid.  Said he is a huge D-Bag.  Said he used to date a girl she knows.  The girl was supposedly cute (don't know if this is actually cute or the way girls will say almost any other girl is cute and then they are actually fat and/or ugly).  He would constantly demean her and say she was fat and should lose weight.  She was constantly in tears over this.  She said they were more stories about how he was awful to girls.

Will report back with more when I hear it.
GMAFB, this guy sounds like a misogynistic POS.

If (when) I decide to get an ebook reader, this would be my first choice.
not really meant for that if you plan on using it full time as an ereader.  doesn't use e-ink display.  i think it would work fine but i'm not reading novels on my monitor so i don't know for sure.

Yeah, I'm getting one.

would look very elite sitting courtside on the media table of the OoD, not so much on the sidelines of a rice baseball game, would probably get dirt in it and stuff  :ohno: , heard it weights 1.5 lb and 1/2" thick, also I think it's $25/ month for 3G
he wouldn't need 3G at the OOD.  $14.99 up to 250mb, $30 for unlimited

any idea on networking capabilities? would it be possible to stream video, music, etc? would that be up to app developers?
yes, it can stream HD at 720p.

it's like a netbook + kindle smashed together.  but a good one.  not a pos kindle or dell.  price point will be the determining factor.

16gb - 499

32gb - 599

64gb - 699

:dunno:
seems pretty expensive, but all apple products are.  i think it would be pretty cool to have one, but i doubt i buy one.  think about being able to sit on the couch or whatever and surf goEMAW.com without the weight/hassle of your  laptop.  or sit on a plane and watch movies/television shows, etc.  the battery life blows any laptop out of the water.   i like that some have 3G too, that would be pretty cool.  throw it in your briefcase and roll.

not trying to defend the thing outright, just seems kinda neat.

my sentiments exactly. don't think i'll buy one, but it would be cool to have. wondering what the service plan would be like for the 3g. also it never said anything about multitasking? i would imagine it would be very similar to the iphone in that respect, and if so, it would be pretty limited. seems like it has major potential, but i'm just intrigued by the o.s. more than anything.

hardware wise its pretty incredible, but its more of a software focused product.
there are no 3G service plans, it's prepay.  can't remember the exact number but something like $14.99 for 250Mb, plenty for surfing the web, not meant for downloading though.  download via wife or usb at home before leaving for trip, or leaving house, then casual surf when away from free wifi.

no multitasking although i'm sure it will be jailbroken just like iphones, and i think you can multitask w/ jailbroken iphone.  lamest part of the announcement imo.
