https://twitter.com/SethDavisHoops This guy is what is wrong with national media! Doesn't have any connect with what happens on the local level!
-
The OOD was back last night. Davis can suck it.

Agreed! I think it was the loudest I have heard since at least 2011 maybe even since 2008!
-
He did say:
"@SethDavisHoops Marcus Foster is niiiiiiiice."
-
I really don't like the "eff ku" chant, either. It's just awful, really. The court storming is great, though.
-

I don't care for it either. But comparing it to screaming insults at an individual after he lands in the crowd is just dumb.

This.
-
The chant is horrible, and people who do it suck.

I don't participate, but have no problem with a bunch of 18-22 y/o's chanting it.
-
College kids are going to do college kids stuff.
-
Jokes on him. The chant was really "eff our ewe" because, sheephumpers, amirite
-
College kids are going to do college kids stuff.
Yea, also don't care for it but eh, whatever. I do love the KU fan butthurt over it from the "rip their rough ridin' heads off" crowd

Seth Davis ?@SethDavisHoops 1h
I don't like court storms but KSt security did a great job forming wall so KU players could get off court. Very smart and responsible.
Fran Fraschilla ?@franfraschilla 1m
@SethDavisHoops oscar Weber not initially available after game as he helped make sure KU got off court safely. KSU security outstanding also
:D
-
"eff KU" is fine. Do what you want.
Only when we play KU though.
-
The one problem that I have with the Seth Davis tweets is that he is making it seem like that KSU is a school with troubled students. He really does need to look into the "RIP THERE F****** HEADS OFF!" chant though.
-

Seth Davis ?@SethDavisHoops 1h
Do oscar Weber & K State athletics want people to bring their young children to the games? This is not restricted to KSt. Happens everywhere
he apparently wants a nobel peace prize. whatevs.

College kids are going to do college kids stuff.
Yep.
-
color me surprised that known super dork seth davis says something super losery.
-
I yelled, "eff ku" like 2 times then I felt like an awful human being. I just started chanting "KSU" after that
-
If you would have told me before the game yesterday that Seth Davis would say something dorky after the game I would have believed you immediately.
-
Seth Davis ?@SethDavisHoops · 1h
People say that schools and people in charge need to enforce better fan behavior. It starts with us fans, and we need to do better.
Doug Gottlieb ?@GottliebShow · 1h
@SethDavisHoops Kansas State executed a flawless court storm last night—
-
Would people have a problem if it was just actually F U KU, or is that just as bad as F*** KU?
-
eff ku during sandstorm when we are playing KU is 100% okay and anyone who is butthurt over it can go jump off a bridge.
-
The OOD can be very initimidating to people not used to intense college sports environments.
-
Do people actually follow this loser on Twitter? I get everything I need to know from Doug.
-

My roommate (non-sports fan/total dweeb) was at the game last night. He was in shock at how we behave. Thought it was ridiculous. :emawkid:

I yelled, "eff ku" like 2 times then I felt like an awful human being. I just started chanting "KSU" after that
I yelled it 80 or 90 times. And I feel fantastic about myself and my status as a good human.

I will not go jump off a bridge, scottwildcat. It makes us look bad and I don't like it.

i'm just glad you and KK were there to help students over the rail to avoid injuries. fantastic human beings, you guys are.

I stopped following Davis when every fifth tweet was him hawking some magic elixir his mother sells.

It absolutely is, especially when it happens every time we play sandstorm against anyone

Seems kind of mizzou-esque so I'm not a fan. Not gonna concern myself over it though.

For some reason it is so funny to me when the student section chants it when we are playing a different opponent.

ask me if I care what Seth Davis or any one that takes a salary check from that cesspool ESPN says! :jerk:
-
as long as the "eff KU" chant doesn't roll over into the other games, I have no problem with it. The sandstorm will completely become extinct just like the "K-S-U Motherfuckin Wildcats" chant became extinct.

Next time I see your mothers I'm going to yell "I'm ready to eff some hoes and cum all over their tits." We'll see how that works.
I curse as much as anyone I know but there's something to be said about being courteous to others and behaving in public. You stupid rough ridin' selfish motherfuckers need to get over your right to yell eff; as if it isn't anything other than self-serving mommy and daddy rebellion. Give me a rough ridin' break.
Aaaaahhhh OLD PEOPLE I HAVE A RIGHT TO SAY eff WHENEVER I WANT!!! Do you rough ridin' morons hear yourselves, idiots.

What the hell kind of defense it that? Can't wait till you have kids in college.
SonOfksudecue- Dad I got arrested for dropping a deuce on a cop car
ksudeuce- shucks, well I had unprotected sex once in college, YOLO!
The conversation isn't or shouldn't be about whether or not students have the right to swear in chants, what we should focus on is why people think their right to shout eff KU is more important to exercise than being polite to someone who does not want to hear that. I guarantee you when the students who chanted that when they are reminiscing on 2/10/15 about last night they won't remember a thing about that eff KU chant, the night would have been just as amazing without it. I also guarantee you that some mom is going to pull her hair out on Friday when their 7 year old gets busted for saying eff ku at school. Why? ARRRGGGAARRRHHH GOTTA SAY eff mom won't know it was me. I'm stunned that people are so offended by being asked to be considerate.
-

It's like he knows my life.

i agree with you about being considerate mir, but your whole "oh look, mommy won't know it's me" thing is way off IMO.
i also don't agree that hearing a naughty word is going to ruin some mom's life.
-
I guess I'm not very considerate when I go to sporting events then. :dunno:
-
I'm less concerned about the courteous portion of MIR's rant, but I agree that it's really more about kids feeling badass about being able to say eff in public.
-
Seriously, why are we even discussing this? Get the eff over it.
-
It's not about saying "eff" in public. The word just fits in the chant perfectly. I say "eff" plenty of times throughout the day and never once is it to be cool. It's a word in the english language that is very versatile.
-

-
Ksudeuce saying "YOLO" to his son has my attention, can I hear more Mir?
-
I have to say I was a little embarrassed when I heard it on TV, but mostly because I think it makes our fans look stupid; I'm not morally opposed to it. I just wish the students would come up with something more clever, like the "You're a flopper" chant.
-
Seriously tho the expectations some of you have for 17-24 year olds is a little ridiculous
-
I mean whether you guys like it or not, it looks really bad on our University and people are always going to complain about it. I chanted "KSU" pretty much the entire time and had just as much joy after the game as anyone that said "eff KU".
-
John Smith, watching the game in Minnesota, isn't going to remember the chant next week. A year down the road when Denise Anderson, resident of Wyoming, sees a tourist w/ a KSU Cats hat on isn't going to think to herself: "man, that purple team has some despicable fans. I'd never forget that "eff KU" chant".

no mir is right. Sandstorm is going to get taken away because a bunch of idiots are going to piss off ticks for a momentary "we're so cool brah" moment. People wont get pissed at bullshit chants for bad calls or bad person chants for hard fouls. Tucks will hand write letters to ADJC over stupid crap like this.

It might not be a matter of what we "think" of their opinions. Its a matter of what ADJC thinks of their opinions written on the finest stationary Walmart's office supply section has to offer. I'm not saying I haven't participated in my own profane chants against KU, but there needs to be a line before we lose something fun.

Fair enough. I'm going to keep doing it at KU games though. I've never done it once at any other game. Surely they won't take it away if everyone actually only chants it one game a year, right? It's not my fault there are losers who do it when we play Texas and Oklahoma.

posters who attacked the tech fan and defend the kstate crowd should congratulate themselves on their powers of rationalization.

You'd have to be a pretty big rube not to see a HUGE difference between the two. I'll grant they are both on the same side of stupid fan crap, but on totally different ends of the spectrum.

My wife told me not to get Orr'd at the game. Once I saw no joe de rosa I figured I was ok.

I'd love it if K-State fans stormed the court after KU wins every time from here to eternity, even if it becomes a regular occurrence. The level of self-righteous butthurt after 5 or 6 in a row would be off the charts, especially if KU went into the tank and K-State was clearly the superior team all season or even over a number of years.

Like Mir, I'm not a fan of the loud eff ku chant. Maybe I'm a tuck for thinking this way, but I'd like to think I could take my kids to a game without them hearing this. A good chant, IMO, is witty and clever, this is neither. Also, probably tuck of me, but I like the family stuff going on at kstate and I'd rather not be associated with garbage, classless, programs like Texas Tech and Kansas, and show some class while having an intimidating crowd. Just my thoughts #1cat

(I even did "horns down" a little bit last night.) :excited:
-
You guys aren't my dad.
We are ASKING for decorum towards your fellow cat fans, you selfish petulant eff. Your reaction to people having an issue with that chant is much worse than that chant. Your inability to understand the point is so childish its troubling. We know you can do whatever you like you stupid sonofabitch, I'm asking you to think of others, is that so rough ridin' hard?

Wrong.
I am not wrong they did play it after TDs in football games. they just cut into the fight song before the we're going to be the eff out of you line. I can say with 100% certainty that they are not going to take away sandstorm, so get out of here.
-
Yeah, they definitely play the "hey song" at football games.
-
If only there was a unique, crazy, fun, but profanity-free, song that the university could adopt. Perhaps something to do with the color purple...
Hm...
:users:

Why not?
LHC Bill Snyder hates it is why they won't play it at football games(yes that is a real reason), and enough people inside the Athletic Department dislike the song.

LHC Bill Snyder hates it is why they won't play it at football games(yes that is a real reason), and enough people inside the Athletic Department dislike the song.

Dear Mr Currie,
I am writing you this letter in regards to the profanity chanted by the student section Monday night. It was a nationally televised game and it really made our school look really shitty and classless. I'm not sure how in the Hell I can take the Apple of my eye to these games without these young male genitals suckers teaching my kids that it's ok to say "f**k KU". All I'm saying is that I know it's just a small segment of the student body acting like ass holes, but we need to figure out a way to get it stopped.
Sincerely yours,
(Insert name)
Feel free to use.

Well written bud

I don't want to go too far down the rabbit hole and derail this thread, but I refuse to believe that every song played through the speakers or by the band during a K-State football game has to be OK'd by the man himself. "Hey coach, this one is called Purple Haze, give it a listen. Then we have 'Shout it Out Loud,' by those KISS fellas. Finally - do you watch Family Guy? No? Anyways, listen to this."
Nope. Not gonna believe it. Because it's absurd.
So one of three things are possible:
(1) You (scottwildcat) are lying
(2) Your source is lying
(3) Someone in the AD bizarrely broke protocol by running SWP by coach.
-
It's not about saying "eff" in public. The word just fits in the chant perfectly. I say "eff" plenty of times throughout the day and never once is it to be cool. It's a word in the english language that is very versatile.
Can confirm.
I've googled it and as it turns out, "eff" is indeed the most versatile of words.
http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=a03ba30c4f
Probably best to just not eff with tradition.

I'm pretty sure Snyder is in control over those warmup songs. Back in the olden days, I was told the player representatives tried to get him to change it every year and he refused.

Sure, DScott writes that story every off-season, but over every song the band plays? He's controlling the Metallica and DJamer Khaled through the speakers? Nuh uh.
-
I cringed everytime I heard the chant on tv. It's that bad.

I never realized people were campaigning to get the band to play it. I always thought it was about playing it over the loud speakers. :dunno:

You guys aren't my dad.
We are ASKING for decorum towards your fellow cat fans, you selfish petulant eff. Your reaction to people having an issue with that chant is much worse than that chant. Your inability to understand the point is so childish its troubling. We know you can do whatever you like you stupid sonofabitch, I'm asking you to think of others, is that so rough ridin' hard?
Quit being a stuck up jerk.
The eff chant one time a year isn't going to hurt a dam thing and I'm sure nobody thinks that less of us as a university because some college kids cussed.
It can be a mean rivalry, join the fray.

IMO, the eff KU chant is uncreative and lazy. That is why it is offensive to me. Think of something better, fuckheads, or they will take it away.

Who gives a damn? Let college kids do college kids things. MIR is acting like Dax

threads like these show who has kids and who doesn't.
if some jackass teenager that makes minimum wage showed a horror movie instead of a kids movie, I'd be very angry. Stuff like that doesn't happen by accident. Some d-bag kid probably thought it would be funny.
It's always odd and hilarious when OK_Cat loses his crap and turns into grumpy old tuck dad.
Wasn't the "You don't have kids you wouldn't understand" line taken straight from the Facebook thread?
oh look, single college guys don't understand parenting.

If I take my kid to a game I fully expect a 'sweetie, they used bad words that you can't use until you're an adult.'
The posts you quoted were in regards to someone showing paranormal activity instead of Madagascar. Kids can get over words, but seeing a frightening image is different. You know this.
Let college kids do college kids things at college kids activities. Good lord, this place has weird soapboxes.

As long as our mission includes having an admission policy that lets any dumbass with a 2.0 get into the school, we aren't going to be able to flunk them out fast enough to get awful, embarrassing chants out of our stadiums. We should probably just get used to it.
-
I think it would be hilarious to have the eff ku chant at every game.
Granted I didn't like how it sounded on tv, but typically i'm at the game.
I was throwing all the four letter words around during the game, and mini-176 was all like "mommy you said a bad word" and I was all "yes because KU cheats".

tell your kids they are saying "pluck" which makes sense regarding squaks n such

I'm with MIR on this. Plus it just made the ones yelling it and the few they showed on tv flipping the bird look stupid.
I was a little embarrassed for the school and of fans at the game and at home who don't appreciate that kind of language.

I guess I don't see why you would support one and hate the other. Both are offensive chants that would lead to awkward conversations with kids or mom, as pointed out on this thread. Neither make the school look good. Deadbeat daddy is a bit more clever and funny. I would be more offended if I got called a deadbeat dad than getting told to go eff myself.

i have no problem with any of it. i find the hypocrisy and lack of self-awareness by the posters who attacked the tech fan unappealing.
-
I don't like the swearing or lack of creativity. Elevator and dead beat daddy are both fine by me. If a student wants to yell a swear word individually, that's fine too. If a kid hears it the parents should know that is the collateral damage of being next to the student section. Subjecting the whole stadium to swearing by collectively chanting is too much. Parents shouldn't have to worry about that when they bring their kids to games.
There are plenty of non-swear word things people can chant that are actually funny (like elevator) if they put even a little bit of effort into it.
-
posters who attacked the tech fan and defend the kstate crowd should congratulate themselves on their powers of rationalization.
You'd have to be a pretty big rube not to see a HUGE difference between the two. I'll grant they are both on the same side of stupid fan crap, but on totally different ends of the spectrum.
The difference mainly is that the tech fan made himself look like a jackass, while our students instead make our school look bad while enjoying anonymity.
-
I'm against both but I think there is a big difference between chanting about an institution and saying a personal insult to a player 4 feet away in the stands.
-

We chant insults at players, too. Those are usually creative and funny, though. The difference is that we could single out the Tech fan and we can't single out the KSU fans. If there were just one person screaming "eff KU" over and over again during a timeout or something, where everyone could hear him, he would be escorted from the gym and we would all be discussing what a horrible person he is, just like the Tech guy who got shoved or Melvin Weatherwax.
-
again, a guy throwing double birds is kinda funny too me, "eff KU" is not. :dunno:
I can't remember the thread or situation with the guy throwing double birds and rotating them back and forth. But it was great.
-
make an argument, instead of just an assertation. i don't see a huge difference.
Sorry for randomly bringing this up, didn't get a chance to respond before.
My issue with the Smart/Orr interaction is that was a direct interaction between a student athlete and an overzealous fan. That fan took it too far because it was a personal attack where he looked a kid in the eye and used works of fisticuffs. Now I find the KU chant stupid and lowbrow, but there was not a singular interaction between a student/fan/alum and the player. Now I would say the line is much finer between the Marcus Smart stuff and the dead beat daddy chant, where the stadium was directly targeting a student athlete. But in my mind, because the F KU chant was SO generic, it didn't approach a personal eye to eye confrontation.
-
I agree with the guy on GoPo that says the students should stop chanting 'Fvck KU' because the Ath Dept is going to take away Sandstorm if they don't stop. I'm not particularly offended by the chant, but why risk losing Sandstorm moments completely just because you want to chant an uncreative, boring insult at KU?
Sandstorm with no 'Fvck KU' >>>>>>>>>>> no Sandstorm at all
We already lost the Jock Jams intro song because the students wanted to chant motherf'n Wildcats during it. I'd hate to lose Sandstorm as well.
-
I'm against both but I think there is a big difference between chanting about an institution and saying a personal insult to a player 4 feet away in the stands.

Now I find the KU chant stupid and lowbrow, but there was not a singular interaction between a student/fan/alum and the player. Now I would say the line is much finer between the Marcus Smart stuff and the dead beat daddy chant, where the stadium was directly targeting a student athlete. But in my mind, because the F KU chant was SO generic, it didn't approach a personal eye to eye confrontation.
so you draw three distinctions: 1) lone actor, 2) personalized attack and 3) proximity. i find the 1st and 3rd distinctions to be trivial. acting as part of a crowd does not ameliorate immoral, unethical or unsavory behavior. neither does distance - the action is the same, proximity simply provided the target of the action a chance to identify his antagonist and respond.
the second point is more convincing. i do think there is some distinction to be made between insulting an individual person for some perceived or imagined personal characteristic vs insulting an institution (or even a group of people). however it is a finer distinction than it might seem when removed from the ritualized group identities of sports/university allegiance. for example many of the posters in the tech fan thread assumed that the fan had insulted smart by using a term based on racial group identity. in that context, insults relating to group identity rather than personal characteristics were considered more offensive, not less so. as such, i suspect that we (i) are fitting a posthoc logical framework of what makes an action offensive around our (my) emotional perception of the action, rather than the reverse.

what if they made a dvd of them making the t-shirt with the dvd on it and then everyone chanted "dvd of them making the t-shirt with the dvd on it" ?

great post
I will say that I'm not saying proximity distance is that heavy a factor. I mean if I got someone's attention from across the room and called them a piece of crap its still bad. But it takes a special kind of man to look someone else in the eyes and consciously attack them. There is a spatial component to all manner of human interactions. From your "bubble" to the kinds of physical contact, it all radically changes based on the situation, cultural setting, and customs of the event. We know that there is a fine distinction between player and spectator, which is why we find actions that blur that line to be shocking at times, see Ron Artest. Fights happen every day in Detroit, but that was a special event because of the setting and its fine distinctions. Similarly we find Smart's interaction to be the same blur of that line. Now I don't in anyway mean to compare Smart to Artest, that would be stupid, but it was a situation where a fan had a negative interaction with a player because that proximity line had been blurred. To the lone actor I could see your argument if the actions were similarly comparable. Once again this draws a closer comparison between Rush/Smart than Orr/Smart. But chant being generic in design and target does change the situation. I think the comparison which is much hard to defend if you disapprove of the Smart/Orr is the deadbeat chant.
Personally I really don't buy the argument of group identity/race/personal characteristics that you might be making. Group identities are radically different than identities based on your humanity, whether it be race, sexual orientation, or gender. But I think we might be getting into the weeds of another conversation.
I do agree that we, the board et al, are pulling our arguments based on the reaction rather than the action itself in much of this thread.

Man, this thread is such a treat on a philosophical level. A real intellectual exercise.
-
i don't care much either way but you're just yelling "eff somebody". like um ok. i mean and? it's just kind of stupid. like where is the punch line? eff them because of what? oh, no reason? just eff them? oh, umm ok. good one. talk to you later, man.

i still have no idea what the motherfucking wildcats thing is about, but i see it referenced here all the time

The "hey song." "Let's get ready to rumble!" song. On the K! S! U! chant, students add in "mother rough ridin'" before "wildcats."

It sure is! Like a brain teaser for adults.

Anyone that says "eff" within earshot of anyone they don't know is a dumbass.
My god you're a pussy.
Sorry bro. I don't know you and therefore have little to go with on how to accurately judge what kind of person you are. Your limited vocabulary gives me a good starting point tho.
He's a 'Cats fan. #1cat
You say #1cat but you don't mean it, its more important to you to scream eff than to be polite to other cat fans watching their cats that doesn't want to hear you repeatedly scream eff.
-
the "harry potter" chant was kinda mean.
I also remember a "You hate women" for Ricky Clemons IIRC.
You hate women was awesome

Deadbeat Daddy was also hilarious, nice job by those students bringing awareness to a social ill. Maybe we can just talk about the best chants we've heard at the ood or bsfs, further driving home one of the points about the stupidity of the eff ku chant. I thought the very first "we own Texas," chant that inspired the famous Bob Knight "good job, thank you" take, was amazing.
-
Can this be a heckle confessional/judgement time?
Here are some things I've yelled at players this year that I can remember. I am definitely sure that players heard most of this stuff. I've bolded the stuff that I don't necessarily regret, but I'm not necessarily proud to type out right now.
Ole Miss:
Marshall Henderson-
"Marshall, U mad?"
I also said something about his lightning bolt haircut.
oSu:
Nash-
Crybaby hands
"You can't handle Gip. He's a man."
"You are going D-league, like your GPA."
You are shook. Nash. You are shook.
Smart-
participated in Flopper chant
George Washington:
Yelled Garino's name a lot. Mostly just mocking GAA-REEE-NO! And then would say something about not being able to handle Shane or something.
in junk time with our scrubs on the court I yelled at one of their players (Creek?) that this is when he would play for us.
W. Virginia:
Dibo-
"How does West Virginia compare to Paris?"
"Your defense is worse than the Maginot line?"
Officials:
Know a smattering of them (Doug Sirmons, John Higgins, Tom Eades, Mark Whitehead, Terry Oglesby, Paul Janssen, Joe De Rosa)
Usually just curse and complain about the specific thing that just happened to no one. Then I will follow up with a specific complaint with less vulgarity directly to the ref using their first name.
-
again, a guy throwing double birds is kinda funny too me, "eff KU" is not. :dunno:
Who is this dude giving the double barrel to?
it wasn't a k-state game, it was some dude at an nfl game iirc and he was supporting the visiting team, standing out wearing the visiting team's jersey and telling the world and everyone around him to suck it. i could be making this up.
-
I think they stopped playing the hey hey whatta ya say let's gets mumped up song at fb games. It seems to me that the students will eventually make up some eff word chant to any song if its played enough times.

Yeah, that's the one I was trying to remember. It's somewhere in the gif thread. I can't find it, but I found a post I made talking about it being in the gif thread.

Also, if you need a pick-me-up, do google image searches for "double bird" and such.
-
I agree with the guy on GoPo that says the students should stop chanting 'Fvck KU' because the Ath Dept is going to take away Sandstorm if they don't stop.
I never even noticed it was gone.
-
I think it's dumb, but I also did a lot of dumb things in college, so who am I to judge?
I'm just saying that I don't know most of those jackwagons, so I'm not going to throw stones. If I was sitting in the student section with them, and they were my buddies, then I'd tell them to give it a rest. I used to cringe when we would sit in line for the KU game and my fellow students would start the "Rock Chalk Jayhawk, eff KU!" chant when the local news camera was filming. I agree with you on being considerate of those you're around. If people have strange expectations for social etiquette, then eff 'em. I feel like refraining from chanting "eff" a bunch of times in front of old ladies and children isn't outside of social norms though. Also, when my kid calls me from prison asking to be bailed out after taking a dump on a cop car, then I'll just say "YOLO bitch! So, it's about time you start learning some life lessons, have fun in jail."
-
what if they made a dvd of them making the t-shirt with the dvd on it and then everyone chanted "dvd of them making the t-shirt with the dvd on it" ?
That would we one side of the Bram, then the other side would shout back:
"DOUBLE BOX SET"
Would be great. Would also really piss off our old MU friends because it beats the crap out of "MIZ"........"ZOU"
-

The lack of humor or creativity is really the only offensive part IMO
Yes this! If it had some irony like KU is a porn school or you were all gay and wanted to rear end them but it just doesn't work. :nono:
-
Didn't read this thread, but we always gotta sandstorm. we better be sandstorming our balls and asses and taints off 50 years from now. If there's even a chance saying eff might mess that up, we should prob stop. I mean, it's not like the eff ku chant is all that cool or anything. and i rough ridin' love cussing, so there.

One time, the Cats were playing Louisiana Lafayette and their qb was Mike Desormeaux, and Scary Smart shouted "IT'S NOT DELIVERY, IT'S A SHITTY MID MAJOR QUARTERBACK."

I consider many of you much less elite for a) the time you spent concerning yourselves with 20 years old kids yelling eff ku, b) caring that those effers from down the road get called what they are, and c) caring what other fanbases think of us.
I'd expect an 11 page thread here discussing the many reasons we might legitimately say eff ku, not the opposite. You effing softies should reevaluate some things.
To get us started, reason #1 we should yell eff ku:

Nobody is saying that you shouldn't be able to you "eff ku". People are just pointing out that you make yourself and every K-State fan look just awful when you do, so you should probably exercise a little bit of self control and not chant curse words in public on national tv when the Cats are playing, even though you are within your rights to do so. You know, like a decent human being would.

I was right behind this guy the whole game

Only serves as evidence of my first point. Remember when we were all totally fine with being the angriest fan base in America? Has the Brucey, mow my own lawn, everyman era changed things around here? Furthermore, how exactly does yelling eff KU have any relevant impact on anything that would matter for the success of our hoops program? Which in the end is all that matters.
Some of you might need to find a new home on the scout board.

What does chanting "eff ku" have to do with being angry? Angry and stupid aren't the same thing.

Being angry is great. Chanting eff comes across as a bunch of kids excited that their parents can't punish them anymore. Be more clever.

To the editor,
There was much for K-Staters to celebrate and be proud of last week when our men’s basketball team beat KU in Bramlage Coliseum. A certain cheer used by some K-State fans to denigrate our guests was not one of them.
K-Staters have a strong, competitive drive, which helps us excel in academics, research and yes, in athletics. We can’t let that passionate spirit overtake our sense of sportsmanship that is a well-recognized part of the Wildcat Way. Please join me in continuing to show the nation and world what it means to be part of the K-State family.
Go ‘Cats!
