tony horton is rough ridin' crazy and i want to punch him every workout.

the food is actually pretty good though.  expensive as hell, but pretty good/healthy.  and the recovery formula is not bad, goes down smooth.

My doing the high protein/ low carb on my own will.  I travel too much to be able to make/buy what they tell me.  I enjoy the recovery drink.  I'm glad it doesn't taste like crap.

Did the X-Stretch last night.  Ready to get rockin' on week 2 tonight.

I've noticed some of the videos have a "Cues and music" option, where it shuts Tony up during the repition and allows him to speak when he explains the stretch/lift/pull etc..  Pretty nice option.

Have you missed any days so far or stayed on schedule?  How was the first week of it?

I have not missed any days.  I've been staying on schedule and plan to stay on schedule for the entire 90 days.  I feel like following the schedule and diet are the only way to get max results.

First week was tough.  Pretty sore for the first few days, but the Yoga-X and Stretch-X helped out with the sore muscles.  Each workout is at least 1 hour long, 1hr 15 min if you do the Ab Ripper-X (which I strongly reccomend).  The Yoga-X is 1-1/2 hours long.

I think it's fun, and time seems to go by pretty quickly.  Hardest part for me is the dieting.  I love food and have a problem controlling my portions.  So far I have done great with the dieting.

Cool.  I only ask because the gym I worked at always promoted it real hard but 95% of the people that try it stretch it out of a 6 month period of time, which deems it worthless.

How's the yoga?

I hated the yoga.  It was pretty hard too.  1.5 hours is way to fracking long.

Yoga is intense.  If you are like me, some of the moves won't be possible at this point.  Over time I can definitely see this helping flexibility and overall muscle growth.  Hell, some people do Yoga only at a gym and get into really good shape.  1.5 hours is long, but whatever Tony says I do.

Also, you are right about the 6 months thing.  You might see results, but they won't be anything you were expecting.  This workout wasn't made for people who want to take their sweet time to get into shape.  The whole point of muscle confusion is so you can continue to workout without a plateau in the future.

Also as someone said previously, the P90X recovery drink is money.  You have a 1 hr window after your workout where your muscles need key nutrients to repair themselves.  The recovery drink will help with a faster recovery, thus reducing cramping and pain.  You will want this drink.

The P90X recovery drink is not a pure Protein mix like some think (including myself at the beginning).  The mix consists of many other vitamins and minerals, and even a little fructose.  You will not get the same effect by having a protein drink compared to the P90X recovery drink after a workout.

Live on salads.  Good thing I love em'.  Make sure you drink plenty of water a day.  I think they say like 64 ounces or so?  A lot of time hunger comes from being dehydrated.  Just an FYI.

Dehydration = major cause of kidney stones.

k, i always thought it was from over using your kidneys to filter too much hard water which would cause crystals/stones to develop.  this is good news.

Nope.

Also, I haven't seen an "scientific studies" to support this, per say, but I would say that getting kidney stones directly correlates to whether or not a person is ugly.  Are you ugly?  If so, 3 liters a day isn't gonna cut it.
