Have some pirated copies. So far have only used the abripper x and the stretch dvds.  Would love to do the whole program but haven't taken the time to buy the dumbbells, chin up bar, etc...

Love the ab workout though - very tough.

You'll be pretty sore for the first couple weeks, but you'll get really good results.  Wife has it she has dropped some weigh and added tone. If she keeps it up maybe she'll get rid of me.

I have a copy of the program and have tried several of them. The AB Ripper file is tough.  You'll feel horrible for a few weeks, but afterwards you'll feel great. The toughest part of the whole program is the diet and nutrition aspect. You'll get results without it, but not even close to the potential if you use their diet. I recently started back on it. I'm into week 3. :runaway:

I've heard good things.

Questions for those with it...

What do you have to buy that doesn't come with it?  I've heard dumbbells, pull-up bar, etc.

Seems like it would be worth getting.

Did it for about 5 weeks. Definitely noticed a difference. I didn't stick to the diet though. I ate healthier, but didn't count calories or stay away from certain foods they hate. Now i do about 2 or 3 of the workouts a week, depending how i feel. I have copy from a friend as well.

The "supplemental" drink is pretty important too

Dumbbells or resistance bands and a chin-up bar. They also suggest push up stands.

I ordered it today too.  weird.

Have friends who swear by it.  Doesn't build muscle as much as it makes you trim and increases endurance.  Have also heard it's very hard to stick with - will be interesting to see how it works out.

DVD's/Nutrition Program/Original Package - $140
Equipment - $30 - $250 depending on what you need, the quality, etc.  (What you need is a pullup bar, and either dumbells or a resistance band.  (One or the other) Optional yoga mat.
Nutritional supplements - No idea really.  Still waiting for my order to get delivered.

90 day program, about 6 hours a week workouts, and you have to stick to a strict diet for best results.

I want to use this, but I would rather eat tasty food.

Wonder if I could find an in-between balance by working out but still eating shitty?

I think you could do that and just not get as good results?
In-between w/the diet/exercise = in-between chubby/ripped, no?

That's outrageous and completely untrendy.

I know a couple people that have bought it, but the longest I've ever heard of anyone doing it is the 5 weeks mentioned in this thread.

You don't need to spend the money to do this. Just push yourself. Get your lazy asses off the couch and do something about it. Every exercise that is shown can be done in your house without much equipment. If it takes a DVD for you to workout, then good for you, but it's money you don't need to spend.

I've never tried it but I used to work at a gym and can vouch for it working.  It's pretty intense and most people have problems sticking with it. It definitely builds solid, lean muscle.

This can be true, but it is definitely an "easier said than done" logic.  It's tough for most people to create a high intensity work out program that it isn't completely repetitive.  P90x will give you a variety of different ways to work out the same muscle groups, which is what you want.

I did about the P75 X.  Ran into the holidays.  It is pretty difficult and you will be very sore the first couple of weeks.  Especially from the waist down.  The corncob pullups are redic.  I am pretty sure humans aren't supposed to be able to do them.  You def need a pullup bar.  I would also recommend maybe 25 and 15lb dumbells.  You can also go to Dicks and get a set of the resistance bands, but I would prob get all of the above.  The biggest problem I had was the time commitment.  They are mostly around an hour but a couple of them run almost an hour and a half.  If you can do the diet they suggest more power to you, but we just ate healthier and had pretty good results.  Like most people have said, it is pretty difficult to stick to it for 90 full days, due to the time it takes every night.  Def a good workout though.

Good Luck
