Seeing him in Yankee pinstripes is going to suck tho. :frown:

I don't know that the Yankees value defense enough to sign Alex Gordon.

In this time of tumult, nothing will ease your mind more than taking 15 minutes to #VoteMoose.  I just got 250 votes in, and I'm feeling a lot better

Do not read Buster Olney tweets.
:frown:

As a fitness trainer myself, I will take the word of what most sports therapists will say over Buster  Olney just talking about other peoples injuries, when he has no idea of the severity of the Gordo injury yet

Anyone who listens to Buster Olney or Tim kirkijstyjemn must be very lonely

you know what the slowest healing thing in the world is? the groin.

And all this time I thought it was a broken heart, which in this case is the same thing

8 weeks for Gordo according to McCullough
I think what my friend Mitch is trying to say is that true love is blind.

That's not too bad. He'll have about a month in the lineup before the playoffs start.

Yep, 810 said same thing. They said "Grade 2 plus"groin strain. So that's slightly better than a grade 3, but still around the 8 weeks of missed time

8 weeks puts the return date at about Fri., Sept 4 for the White Sox series. Using that as the targeted return, he'd miss 51 games and be back for the final 29.

That's 8 weeks and we don't know if that's with a rehab assignment or not.

Here's an idea. Let's rent a player upton and if Gordon does come back in September and his agent lets him play, we ship upton over to RF.

CASE CLOSED!

Will we will even have a minor league team playing ball in September for him to take a rehab assignment with?

With Alex's workout ethic seems he could beat the estimate for an average man groin strain!

Can't we just put somebody on the DL until the rosters expand on September 1?

If the Royals want to contend you would think they had to go out and make something happen personnel-wise. They may not end up "needing" to add on, but seems like a huge risk to take. I'm for Wacky's rent-a-player idea. Doesn't need to be a specific guy tho.

I wonder who could be had, especially from non-contending NL teams.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Zobrist.

Can play LF while Gordo is out, then utility when he's back. May not have to overpay for him

Yeah, lots of teams really want him, and there's good reason.

Royals should throw a deal at them for Zorilla and Kazmir.

He had bicep tightness, was fine after the game and shouldn't miss a start.

Says the team trying to trade him.

But I'm sure the trade would be pending an eval by our medical staff, so if it only is tightness, I'd be down.
