The 6-foot-7 kid from Kentucky is also in the portal...

Committed to TCU

TCU's been crushing the portal

This stuff is happening at warp speed...

Any thoughts on the best site to monitor the portal activity?

Talia Goodman on3 twitter account and the women's college basketball subreddit. On3 has a portal tracker, but it only has 100 women on it, no idea what the hell they're doing.

Yeah - I saw that (and some of the other "lists") and was like - this is useless.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

I think that's a pretty big loss - Sides simply isn't equipped to be the primary PG (and, hopefully, we didn't get her to stay and Walker to leave by promising her that).

If we don't pull a quality PG out of the portal, it'll be a reversion back to the pre-Sundell days (the first 6 years of Mittie's tenure) when he didn't/couldn't recruit a quality a PG and we frequently had trouble beating the 10-second clock.

The 2020-21 season was awful - even with Lee scoring 20+ ppg we were terrible - and a large part of that was because we didn't have a viable PG.

I also keep forgetting we have the PG from Spain coming in - perhaps she's the real deal (no idea).

Losing Walker is a big deal. Yes she wasn't the best three point shooter, she'll get better with that, her defense isn't something a player can match by just playing defense more. Either her or Bella Fontleroy were going to be the preseason favorite for defensive player of the year in the Big 12. She's going to be the starting point guard for a team that isn't losing 80% of their scoring, I just hope she gets away from the Big 12.

Gina Garcia is a 5'7" reserve guard on the Spain u17 team that shot 20% from the 3 point line at the u17 world cup. I've not seen a second of her play but I'd be shocked if she isn't a project. Good news is she still isn't 18 years old yet.

it’s maybe a big deal in a positive way.  she was more of a liability than anything for the majority of her minutes.

Jasmine Shavers, a 5-8 junior guard, recently entered the transfer portal out of Texas Tech. She averaged 14.9 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game this season. Sources told On3 that there are two programs that have separated themselves from the pack in this one – Kansas State and Florida State.

Ok, yea, would take. Don’t remember her specifically playing against the Cats but saw her play in high school and thought she was a future stud

Lester in the portal...

I "think" that means we're down to 9 players for next year assuming no other transfers.

Mittie's got some work to do...

Had a big from VT commit yesterday that probably equals out Lester

Good grief - I even saw that yesterday and completely forgot. Seems like a "potential" type of player that, hopefully, can contribute in a year or two...

Sanchez in the portal also. So right now the roster is Sides, the 4 freshmen, Parks and Hess (coming off surgery), and the big from VT. Hopefully Taylor gets another year because that’s still only 9

Sanchez has entered with a do not contact tag which is interesting given her age and perceived skill level.

Even with the departures, I'm guessing we only sign four more transfers, if we don't have any more departures. We carried 13 players this year.

I am still on the lookout for Parks potentially going in the portal. She didn't get burn before her two injuries. That being said I know she's been one of the team leaders. I wouldn't doubt if she goes straight into coaching when she's done playing. She looks and acts just like one of the assistants on the bench.

She dropped to the 1st pick of the 3rd round to Seattle. Taking heads seem to think she’s a good fit there, plus her brother being on the Seahawks makes for a cool storyline.

Mittie just dropped the Mittie signal so hopefully some good news coming soon

Seattle's backup point guard is out for the season with a torn ACL. Serena should make the team and get decent playing time.

Looking at stats… Aussie who was the top sub for Stanford. Shot .493! (30-69) from 3 and just over 50% overall. Was a high volume scorer at Santa Clara as a Fr & So. Looks like she may have been more of a primary ball handler there also as she had 167 assists as a So vs 35 this past year.

seems like a good get. as a huge Bluey fan, I'm in favor of bringing on as many Aussies as possible.

So... 3-4 more players to go.

Still need a PG and 2 bigs...

On the other side, Maupin goes to Nebraska and Ohnstad to North Dakota, but I don't think I've seen any of the others with a confirmed destination?
