Will be really interesting to see what Pat does with a stable of “pretty good” receivers as opposed to two superstars and other guys.

He will still have a superstar at TE.

If Hardman could take another step up in his play, we may not miss Hill as much as expected.

Yeah I wouldn’t count on Hardman, but I kinda like MVS as a deep threat, Juju as the veteran slot guy, and Kelce as the perpetual matchup problem. Hardman could add a nice wrinkle with his speed especially on jet sweeps and the like.

It’s a solid bunch but puts a lot on Pat to make the right reads as opposed to having a super stud you can just count on to get wide open like Hill.

IMO if Pat is worth the money he’s getting paid, we should be just fine on offense. That’s obviously the calculation KC is making here.

Which receiver do we want in the draft? Dotson is stellar.

Him, or one of the Ohio St guys would be fantastic.

Kiper has 6 wideouts being drafted (including dotson) before the chiefs pick at 29 😩

I’d be surprised if the chiefs actually pick at 29 though

WC08 my heavens bro.
What? Don’t tell me you’re mad that Veach secured our future for our guy Pat with this trade. Please don’t do it!

I'm disappointed the most explosive playmaker in team history is no longer with the team. I understand the hand was forced, but you're acting excited like this is awesome. It sucks.

I mean, we turned a 5th round draft pick into this. The future is bright. I loved watching Tyreek and he's one of a kind, but I love Veach's long game attitude.

That's fine. However I was hoping for a Super Bowl next season, and that now is less likely.

As talented as Tyreek is, he was not going to be the reason Chiefs do or do not make the Super Bowl next season.  I also don't think it is fair to weigh the likelihood of a super bowl before the draft has completed and talent is analyzed.

Do I think it means the Chiefs aren't a super bowl contender next year? No.
Do I think it hurts the Chiefs short-term chances while improving their long-term outlook? Yes.

Ya maybe, generally it costs quite a bit to trade up in the first round, but if they’re in love with a certain guy then go for it.  I like metchie a lot and he’s projected to still be available at 29.

i think my favorite ever dirty dan play is the tackle on the fake punt vs Houston 2019 divisional round when we were down 24-7.

2nd favorite is 2020 divisional round when he illegally speared a Browns receiver at the goal line and made him fumble for a touchback

all the wounded duck floaters that fell to him in clutch moments are all tied for 3rd favorite.

wish him success in nola

So what was the deal Veach was trying to sign Hill for, with long game in mind?

It wasn’t 30 mill a year. Everyone said it was $20 a year. Big difference. If you wanna blame some, blame Adam’s!

Adams and Tyreek share the same agent.  You can’t blame a player for having the long game mentality either.
