I know a chimp that compiles his own college football ratings system.  It makes absolutely no sense but it's still pretty impressive work for an ape.

the buffalo calf here would have a great animal story if it were a poster.

So I'm dog sitting this week for my bro-in-law.  Last night the dog-cousin got into my wife's cat's food.  I come home for lunch today and I find a warm and runny present on the bedroom floor.  So I start to clean it up.  When I finish that I "find" a second deposit on the living room floor that she left while I was cleaning up the first mess.  And when I say "find" I mean stepped in it and unknowingly spread the magic into the kitchen.

So my hound dog got into the leftover Halloween candy last week. He ate 1 mini snickers and 1 Reeses PB Cup. It was my fault for leaving them out so he didnt get in too much trouble. Well, over the last week, I have found that he has stashed 4 more of the PB Cups in one of our guest rooms. The little demon was trying to pull one over on me. What a wacky creature, lol.

What do you do to your dog that makes him want to off himself so much?  I mean, that is some seriously premeditated dog suicide there bro.

Two nights ago we set out two liters of Irish Cream for the neighborhood cats. Around 1 A.M. I went out to find 4 drunk as eff alley cats. I ran after one to see what it would do and it sprinted head first into my truck tire and then climbed a fence where it fell off to the other side.

COLMAN, S.D. - A 150-pound mountain lion was no match for a squirrel-chasing terrier on a farm in eastern South Dakota.
Jack the Jack Russell weighs only 17 pounds, and yet he managed to trap the cougar up a tree on Tuesday.
Jack's owner, Chad Strenge, told The Argus Leader that the dog "trees cats all the time," and that the plucky terrier probably "figured it was just a cat."
Professor Jonathan Jenks, who tracks cougar migration patterns, says hunters usually need two or three hounds to chase a lion up a tree. He says the cat probably wasn't hungry enough to attack Jack.
Strenge used a shotgun to knock the mountain lion from the tree and - assisted by Jack - chased and fatally shot it.
Arden Petersen, of the wildlife division of Game, Fish and Parks, told The Madison Daily Leader that no charges will be filed.

When I was but a young lad, I had a juvenile barbary macaque climb up on my shoulders because it was inquisitive about a plush macaque toy that I was holding (this was at gibraltar, they sell the toys in the gift shops).  Anyways, he soon became disinterested in the toy and proceeded to see if I had any tasty bugs on my head.  Things were ok (I was a little bit freaked out) until the mother found out that one of her babies was missing and became pretty upset I had, to the best of her knowledge, kidnapped her baby.  To make a long story short, I almost lost a finger.

When I was young I had two coonhounds-  Little Ann and Old Dan.  One time, while out coonhunting, we came across a mountain lion!!  Little Ann and Old Dan fought off the mountain lion!  Sadly, Little Ann died from her injuries sustained during the fight.  I guess Old Dan lost the will to live after Ann died because he died of a broken heart a short while later.  It was cool though, because I soon discovered a colony of monkeys living in the woods behind my house.  Turns out the escaped from a circus train that had derailed.  What an awesome summer that was!
