So my gf's brother lives up in North Dakota and apparently found some super skinny racoon baby's on the side of the road. He is now nursing them back to health and will keep them around until they get older/mean.

GF just showed me the most adorable video ever. 2 fluffy adorable baby racoons chasing a 2 year old(her nephew) as he runs in circles around a tree...then he falls down laughing and the 2 baby racoons climb up on him and start licking him.

 :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Sounds extremely adorable, unless the raccoons were giving him a taste test.

Does it violate your personal code of ethics?  Is it immoral?

the state legislature of south dakota (as in the large majority of states) has passed a law making it illegal to own a raccoon, (and most other wild animals).  if it isn't immoral, why have the representatives of the people in the united states overwhelmingly decided to make animal ownership illegal?  it's not like this is some huge controversial problem demanding legislative attention, it is something they are doing because it apparently enjoys widespread popular support.

no, it does not violate my personal code of ethics.
