It breaks my personal code of too much adorableness in one video.

you know what else also involved illegal acts, adorable children and video?  child porn, that's what.

 :surprised:

yep, something for the "victimless crime" people to think hard about.

the child and his family are violating north dakota state law.

So what?

so they are breaking the law.  what they are doing is illegal.

Does it violate your personal code of ethics?  Is it immoral?

the state legislature of south dakota (as in the large majority of states) has passed a law making it illegal to own a raccoon, (and most other wild animals).  if it isn't immoral, why have the representatives of the people in the united states overwhelmingly decided to make animal ownership illegal?  it's not like this is some huge controversial problem demanding legislative attention, it is something they are doing because it apparently enjoys widespread popular support.

no, it does not violate my personal code of ethics.

Are we on the same side and I don't quite get your sarcasm yet?

sys wants to be allowed to legally own all animals. he's mad because he can't and specifically here he's mad that other people aren't mad that they can't.

yes, we're on the same side.  i'm not being sarcastic, i'm (trying) to be socratic.

the notion that "it's ok, we aren't going to prosecute the adorable cases" does not placate me.

That kid in that video doesn't own those raccoons. He just happens to be there in the same location as the raccoons. Is it illegal to associate with raccoons?

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

The mama deer was so cool about it to. Almost, like, "Thanks guy, I appreciate it, I've got it from here".

Also, that same thing happened with a rabbit at my friends house growing up. That thing would hiss, growl, scrape, and everything in it's power to not let us help it. We eventually got it with a net and let it free, as it flipped us off on his way out.

Neighbor came up to me yesterday when I pulled in my driveway, had a chipmunk in his house.  Wanted to know how to get it out.  I didn't know, but came up with the alternatives of a small live trap with bait, or the less expensive but fatal rat trap idea.  Any other suggestions?  Don't want chipmunk blood on my hands, so to speak, so need some good ideas.

If you suggest putting a basket over them, let me remind you how fast those little devils are.

Story:

I have moles in my yard, they are tearing it up pretty good, I've tried to kill them with different stuff but no luck so far.  Anyway, today my cat, Teddy, was digging furiously into one of the mole runs (the places where they push up the soft dirt) and he was just digging and digging and I was cheering him on because I wanted him to get one of the moles and then he turned around and pooped in the hole and walked away.
