I had a hell of a sinus thing going on yesterday and was able to find some take home tests at the Raytown Walgreens. Luckily my junk is just a cold.

Omicron seems to not gaf about infecting vax'd folks, but symptoms should be lesser.

Also I'm seeing a lot of people report NOT losing taste/smell with omicron, so don't bank on having taste as meaning you don't have covid

Not sure how great i'd be with the at home test. I don't think I could jam it up there that far on my own.

I would like to know if I can get out of stuff or not for the safety of others, because I have some friends and family who schedule stuff that dgaf about it, but i'm a good person, so i'm trying to take care of others like the good human being that I am. If it's a cold, well, everyone has one of those right now, so game on and eff it.

I don't know what you guys are trying to do here. You guys are acting like i'm some anti vaxxer, that doesn't wear masks and follow protocols. We have people in our family fighting things like cancer and unfortunately they don't believe in the vaccines. I don't want to harm these idiots if I have it. I'm 37. This doesn't feel worse than the flu I had a few weeks ago. I still feel like I could go about my life and enjoy the holidays still, so i'd like to know if it is or isn't.

Every test I've received have been shoved up towards my brain, so i'm not sure how accurate they'd be if you half assed it.

Just took one for a family get together. Per directions...3/4" to 1" up there. So, very mildly uncomfortable.

Yeah never did an at home test I thought it was just a swish of the nostril. I had a PCR test before coming to see family out of caution and it was a lab test and that's all they had me do.

the one i got had instructions to insert 1/2" to 3/4" inside each nostril and swirl around 5 times each. uncomfortable but not painful

My wife was staying with anti-vax family that got omicron.  She dodged it with the vax despite staying with them for a few days.  There are certainly some breakthrough cases but I'm assuming her vax helped keep her clean.
