Is everything okay in Meade, KS? There is an article about Meade behind the KC Star paywall and this about happenings at the hospital:

https://www.beckersasc.com/leadership/4-kansas-physicians-resign-from-hospital-over-ceo-salary-medical-interaction-concerns.html

going back to this, $500k for a rural hospital CEO seems insane

also,

Quote
In another example, Zachary Sussman, MD, formerly of Physicians Premier ER, underwent a COVID-19 antibody test from his employer in May and was billed $10,984 a visit that included the test. While his insurance paid the bill, Dr. Sussman was shaken by the amount charged and resigned.

"I have decided I can no longer ethically provide medical directorship services to the company," he wrote in his July 13 resignation email, according to ProPublica. "If not outright fraudulent, these charges are at least exorbitant and seek to take advantage of payers in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic."

good luck to that doctor finding a hospital with transparent and fair billing

No idea if this is real or not. Could be.

Really starting to look like the Brain.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

What kind of risky behavior did you engage in to catch it?

been very disciplined about mask wearing and have had exceptionally limited soical contacts

work has required more human contact than I would prefer but has been conducted in line with best practices

dining inside?  Gym?  family gatherings?  Any contact tracing being done?  Why did you get a test, symptoms?

So many questions!

My buddy’s mom has been in ICU since last Thursday for the Covid.  She is a founding member of the Denton Co chapter of Latinos for Trump.  She was very anti-mask and when asked to put a mask on she would tell them she has a medical condition preventing her from wearing a mask.  Not sure if this will change her about Trump but she has come around on masks per my buddy.

my take is that indoor face-to-face contact is not best practice if it can be avoided. Kinda shitty of work to do more than their employees are comfortable with (based on what we know)

side note my company just announced full time WFH is available to anyone until June but they'll evaluate in March. And it will likely be a flex schedule to start. Jobs will be classified as full time in office, part time in office, or permanently remote.

Shocking to me that some on this blogsite aren’t itk regarding Meade America.

That’s not a reality for most industries.

Yeah, I work in an industry where each state establishes and regulates a club you have to join, and it's illegal to do the job unless you're a member of that club.

Calling her Melanie is the same as mispronouncing Kamala.

I imagine most folks who end up permanent wfh are in programming or something. Maybe some finance and HR functions too. I'm not sure how it will work but I don't think it will be easy to just outsource. But it will be interesting to see what happens with salaries for those permanent WFH folks and when they hire for those roles nationally.

True, but could have been a phone autocorrect
