Seems like that was a crappy test?
Quote from: 8manpick on December 22, 2021, 08:12:53 AMSeems like that was a crappy test?the one that caught 8 out of 10 positives that a PCR would catch? IMO that's a great supplement to PCR or binax especially if it can be made cheaper
Still a pink line on my antigen test today. So still hiding out in my office and masking around the family. Probably a fools errand but maybe not? They probably going to get exposed to it either way sharing our recirculated air?

When does this anti viral drug hit these mean streets? People will for some reason take whatever is put in front of them after they contract covid but not before.
Haven't been tested since June of '20.
as a man of the people I'm for saving all lives, even those of morons we would 100% for sure be better off without.
That said the shortage of testing right before holiday season 2021 is a huge fail for all involved, even without the new variant how did we not see people were going to want to test before traveling for family gatherings?

I think it's omicron absolutely smoking the entire planet more than the holiday break.
The authors found that the risk of hospital admission was roughly 80% lower for those with Omicron, and that for those in hospital the risk of severe disease was roughly 30% lower."In South Africa, this is the epidemiology: Omicron is behaving in a way that is less severe," said Professor Cheryl Cohen of the NICD, one of the authors."Compellingly, together our data really suggest a positive story of a reduced severity of Omicron compared to other variants."

Is that really true?

I've only needed to prove it in NOLA though. The few places in KC requiring proof don't take it, since we are disallowed as a city from requiring it thanks to our state government.
