Old job follow up email to a routine monthly email that announces upcoming anniversaries and birthdays:

Quote
While reflecting on some of the fun and important dates shared earlier, we recognize that sometimes we’re including a sample of holidays, events, and happenings. This is not to intentionally exclude any group or individual.

Another important celebration to include during April is Passover, which begins at sundown on April 15 and extends through April 23.

New org chart day at old job! 5th in 5 years.

Somehow, I still "report" to D2. Just me. Life is good.

Most WTF situation: GG now reports to NG2, who you may remember was hired by GG a few years ago. You may also remember that GG previously reported to NG2 at a different company.

Biggest move: an 18 year employee went from VP Finance to Staff Accountant.

Was double booked for 1:00.

Meeting 1: D2 to train GG and NG2 on how to do some stuff.
Meeting 2: stuff with new job boss.

No brainer on the priority. Emailed D2 and said I'd be late to the 1:00 due to an appointment. At 1:25, received reply from D2: "What 1:00 meeting?"

out of this whole thread, the most impressive thing to me is how you've managed to stay sane while working for a company that is clearly run by people that have no idea what they're doing.

It sounds to me like he took that potential obstacle and turned it into a feature

I'm moving to a full remote position with my current company. Thinking about trying a double dipper.

Worst thing to happen is you get fired from both jobs!

Just curious what's going on the resume. I'm guessing you have to omit the newest gig?

I might be more inclined to hire someone that was able to maintain two full time jobs and meet expectations

That gets me thinking. Let's say in 1 year Chum goes back to 1 job and then in 3 years he is interviewing for a new job. Would you list both jobs for the same time frame and mention it in the interview if they ask? Which brings me to a couple of observations/questions...

1. On one hand I feel like it might impress the employer, not the gatekeeper HR employee but the actual decision maker.

2. The flip side is they will probably assume that you will do it again and not give 100% to XYZ company but WGAF as long as chum is handling his crap.

3. Chum, when you were interviewing for your current second job did you tell them you were currently employed and that you would quit but then just didn't quit? Or did they know this would be your second job?
