I mean, we are prolly replacing him with the Jamar/Rodney combo, right?  Jamar averages 3 fouls a minute!

And he didn't even start! Bitch only dates starters!

No one should have had Final 4 expectations to begin with.  No one takes into consideration how sucky the field was last year.  Losing Sutton is not good, but is hardly devastating.

When did KSUFans legacy posters stray from sticking to the numbers?

Best returning OR% (ultimate JYC stat).  Remember when he fought for that rebound like crazy in the B12 tourney and hit Pullen or Denis for a wide open three?  (can't remember who made the 3, because dom was so awesome on that play).

Yeah.

Sutton thinks he's a first round pick and blames Frank that he isn't projected as one.  So, he's leaving.  What do you expect Frank to do?  No coach can turn Sutton into a first round pick.

LOL . . . seriously?

Check out twitter. He tweeted during the NBA draft that it was the "weakest" in a long time and that he's gonna get there next year.

Hey! Good news for Jamar now....

PG - Pullen
SG - McGruder
SF - Samuels
PF - Kelly
C - Aspirilla

We're really gonna miss Dom's hustle and offensive rebounds. :embarrassed:

Yeah.

:frown:

It was Pulls.  McGruds basically has to play out of his ass (or up to his potential) in order for Dom's loss to be mitigated.

Surely someone can teach VO how to Sutton (hustle and miss shots) before the season starts.

Hot Rod is going to be fantastic for us this year, even if it is only fantastic looking.  And VO is already quite good and hustling and not making shots.  However, VO is not very good at looking handsome, so we will sorely miss Dom in that aspect.

    Sutton is staying...dumb rumors.

Omari's parents are footing the bill for his tuition this year until next year. He's a very intriguing prospect that kind of had similar weight/conditioning issues as Kelly. If he gets his head on straight, like Kelly, he could be a steal.

But yes, I agree....Te' and Frank have started to get Wooly type recruits lately...Obviously Te's salary isn't being used properly!

This was what my cousin was told by a player a few weeks ago...guess Frank keeps a very tight lip on things or my cousin is an idiot lol.

Kellis finally picks up the phone:

JFC, it's about time.

Quote
With Kansas State down a scholarship from the departure of Dominique Sutton, the natural assumption was that Omari Lawrence would take his place on the roster.

After all, the St. Johns transfer has visited Manhattan and made an announcement last week that he wanted to sign with the Wildcats.

But it may be Nino Williams, a Leavenworth High School product who long ago verbally committed to K-State, who gets first crack at the open scholarship.

“It’s my choice,” Williams said when reached by phone. “They (the K-State coaching staff) said they would love to have me, but if I still want to go to prep school I can do that, too. They’re with me either way.”

“At first, nobody thought I was going to be a qualifier,” Williams said. “Then I started taking a lot of classes, then I qualified. I’m good to go. If I wanted to go to K-State right now as a student without basketball I could.”

The delay on Omari:

Quote
Williams plans to talk with his family over the holiday weekend before making a final decision. He has no preference at the moment, but expects to have his mind made up by Sunday.

This team badly needs another shooter, especially after Pullen leaves, and Nino can fill that need. These guys are a lot harder to find than guys like Omari.

This would be huge to get him.

Nino is the definition of a JYC.  That's his game, not spotting up for 3's.  Doesn't mean he can't or won't, but I'm expecting him to play almost like a Sutton clone who can actually hit 1 or 2 threes a game though.
