I'm glad my kids are older now (12 and 14). There are a few things from when they were younger that I miss, but a lot of stuff that I don't.
I'm enjoying the older years too.

Guys, but what about when you sneak in after you get home from work and he is playing by himself and you say "hey booboo!" and he turns and looks and smiles and stumbles over like a drunken sailor giggling and grabs your slacks and demands to be picked up?  Does it get better than that?

My child is 25mo and we've started potty training. It's not my favorite thing to do but Go Chiefs.

Time to stop counting his age in months.

I bet when they are old enough to walk good and they have to hold your hand crossing the street or in parking lots that that is pretty great.

Doubt it. They're hands are probably covered in boogers/jelly/poop/saliva/etc. when they do that.  :Yuck:

Did anyone else take a "break" from bbs'ing when they had their first kid?  I was freaking out a couple months before she was born and deleted my account at ksufans.     Then after she was born I realized it was pretty easy so after like a week I started again.

If I could start with the kid that was like 7-10 years old I might consider it. But not an adopted kid because if they are getting adopted at that age then they probably have had some trauma in their life which is going to eff them up.

Time to stop counting his age in months.

I can understand in this situation counting in months.  Saying my child is two and we started potty training is too generic.  There's a big difference in saying my child is 25 months and we just started potty training vs my child is 35 months and we just started potty training.  In this context were talking about nearly a third of a child's life.

If he is 35 months then you can say he is almost 3 or just say 3. Sorry, 24 months is the universally accepted cut off age for age in months.

25 months vs 35 months is nearly 1/3 of a child's life and he/she is two either way.

I think you should stop much sooner then that.  And who celebrates half birthdays?  I'll tell you who.  Olathe Unified School District 233 that's who.  Yep in Olathe it's considered proper to bring in treats on your kids "half-birthday"  So like the week before Thanksgiving I had to go run to Price Chopper at 10:00 at night to buy rough ridin' cupcakes for 25 third graders and you know what that means?  Three dozen cupcakes.  that's right couldn't be 24 kids in the class had to be 25 so I had to buy an extra dozen and no I didn't want the leftover cupcakes because they were shitty Price Chopper cupcakes    :curse:

You should refuse to participate.

The only kid I know that celebrates his half birthday has his real birthday on Christmas and that is still questionable.
