Worth it?  Seems like they may not be until you are super old...and then just if you have good ones.

I always assumed you hit age where you weren't allowed to do the fun stuff you used to. When that happens you pop out kids so you can live vicariously through them.

Kids should have pets, adults should have kids.  Otherwise you end up a social outcast.

My guess is Fitz didn't have a puppy either.

I dont like other people's kids either.  Dont get why everyone needs to hold other folks kids.  Other peoples kids kinda creep me out.  mine are awesome though.

Kids:

Babies - Smell great and wonderful for putting you to sleep (Bad due to lack of sleep, though)
Toddlers - Not too bad, but can get on your nerves.
4/5 years old - Refer to toddlers
6-10 years old - Not bad. Getting their own sense of identity and ability to do most things for themselves.
10-13 years old - Attitude really starts to rear it's ugly head.
14- years old - Bad attitudes and bottomless money pits.

Your best bet is to be a big brother. JMHO.

(Wouldn't trade my kids for anything, though)

Definitely worth it, although I'm starting to think you should need a license to have one with some of the parents I have seen.

skip kids and go straight to grandkids - you can have fun with them for as little/long as you want then give them back to their parents to deal with

Don't listen to sys, have as many kids as possible.  Just make sure you educate them well and brainwash them into loving you.  When you're old, they'll pay all your bills and give you sweet gifts like vacations and boats and stuff.  When you're really old, you can pick the one with the best living situation (biggest TV, season tickets with the best seats) and move in with them.  Much better than getting dumped in some retirement home.

Plus, you know, they're kinda fun.

Where did you get that overnight bag?

I don't even mow my own yard.  Seems like having kids would mess with my theme.

Well, I guess since you pay someone to mow your lawn, the kids won't be able to help by doing that....maybe they could trim up your money tree or something?

I like to travel pretty much constantly.  Kids seem like they put a damper on that.  Also, drinking, I'm not a drunkard but like to drink and run off to do so quit a bit.  Plus, work, I work a lot of hours.  What will benefit from kids?  I'm just not seeing it.  You know?

I don't either.  I also pay someone to clean my house and pick up dog crap from my yard.  Having to "do stuff" sucks bad, I get that.

Having kids is a process. Though, it's not like you will have screaming two-year olds right out of the gate (I happen to love that age, though).  They won't understand your bullshit for at least 2.5 years, and they aren't teens for years.....you'll have a ton of time to figure it all out and get use to it.

The key to parenting is two things.  First, don't do anything to kill them.  They are easier than dogs to take care of, though.  So, that part's pretty easy.  Second, just try and remember the crap your folks did that mumped you up the most, and then don't do those things.

If you can do (or not do) those things, you'll be fine......Just don't have more than two....Zero population group, bro.  Some of us secular types are still going to need to use this planet someday.

Though, I know really happy people who have never had kids.

Same. Hence why I'm not having kids.

Good things: You have a pretty good out on a lot of stupid work stuff you don't want to do [example: Hey SD, you going to Random Lame Work Event? Nah, bro, I gotta go to this thing for my kid. Aw, SD, you are so awesome and you love your kid. Here is a raise!] [Note: This may not actually happen.]

I guess you have to figure out how much crap you can take. Do you only want kids under specific circumstances? Could you handle it if your kid was different? If not, don't do it.

Otherwise, it's probably interesting to screw someone's life up irreparably. I mean come on.
My sister Stheno says I "verily personify the terrors of the sea" and would be a "real catch" for any man with half a brain.
