Dax, you were lying when you said rfkjr is a blueanon hero?
I did say that, and until he ran as an independent and then sided with Trump he was a #blueanon hero.
I know you're a silly little nut bag . . . but the anti vax movement has its roots decidedly in the #blueanon political sphere. The
about Big Food and Big Ag . . . decidedly in the #blueanon movement.
What does any of that have to do with the #blueanon portion of the panel being owned by Big Pharma?
You won't answer . . .so I will - Nothing, it has nothing to do with Liz Warren and Bernie being beholden to Big Pharma
You are right that weirdo home school trad moms and weirdo hippie moms have anti-vaccine conspiracies in common.
Is this supposed to be a good thing? If you are asking me, I think it is bad.
I think vax's are very important and I think vax safety is even more important.
Every thinking person should be concerned when the CDC starts editing known - knowns in the middle of the night. Every thinking person should be keenly aware that the highest paid (now former) Federal employee quite clearly and purposefully circumvented prudent measures to stop dangerous gain of function research in the United States . . . and thinking people should be concerned and want the truth.
Which is why so many #blueanon reactions and defense of these situations and similar are just absolutely mind blowing to me. Once upon a time it was #blueanon who would have been leading the charge to get explanations and the truth on issues like the above. They would demand explanations from people like Fauci and they would be combing through the FOIA'd emails with a fine tooth comb. They are disturbing if you care to pay attention to them, very disturbing.
Thinking gain of function research is bad/overly dangerous research does not really say anything about vaccines safety.
When you have people who thwart executive branch mandates and engage our government in dangerous research . . . who then turn around and tout (after initial misgivings) a vaccine for the disease they very likely had a hand in creating . . .
I guess either you believe that if people did something wrong/dangerous that there is either accountability for proven lawbreaking or there is at least the potentially for policies/guidance to be changed by new leadership. Like if fauci screwed up, get him out and get someone else with better ideas in. I struggle to see how RFK Jr is a solution on that front.
If the claim is that these institutions are totally unaccountable and are nearly impossible to change then I guess that would explain Trump and Musk wanting to just slash and burn the executive branch agencies but it still doesn’t give any affirmative vision for what would be able to serve the important functions that people rely on.
So if the problems of agency culture led to Fauci et al making bad calls on gain of function AND vaccines, then fauci is gone and maybe you can have different guidance. If the problem is “science inevitably leads to bad stuff” then I don’t know how to resolve that, but RFK Jr does seem to be a good banner man for that fight.
