It’s so weird that Trump spends any time at all thinking about or talking about Gavin. The election is over, bro. There’s no campaigning or persuading or selling that needs to be done. Frankly, it’s a sign of mental weakness.

This has to be extremely worrying for any Floridian, or other Gulf state resident, with two brain cells to rub together.

If you think he's going to do anything more for "red states", well, you'd be wrong.

I genuinely would like to understand how not bringing in outside resources would work in a place like North Carolina that has huge areas affected by a flood. Are they supposed to use the electrical trucks and bulldozers under water?  The governors get some kind of federal block grant and then go and find the resources themselves ad-hoc? No support from the feds and you just make your own way?  It doesn't matter. People remember FEMA being a bad word from Katrina and you don't have to give any details, you can just cut it and make it someone else's problem and distribute the blame.
