According to #blueanongE everyone knows Gaetz is guilty.
That’s the standard I am using here.
I appreciate that you totally avoided the fact that a person sitting in prison for numerous crimes (and he got off light IMO) who was trying to buy immunity was the standard for launching an investigation.

Ok, I'm glad we agree that for a criminal prosecution Gaetz is entitled to the presumption of innocence, a prosecutor should know that they have the burden of proof to convict if they bring charges and that all prosecutors should make a decision based upon whether they think the case can be proven using evidence that is admissible in court.
Gaetz was in the House of Representatives, they have a process for investigating and potentially sanctioning members of congress for ethical violations. They issued a report, which has been seen by members of that committee and presumably at least some of the contents of the report have made their way to the eyes/ears of the Senators that were going to vote on Gaetz's confirmation. Some of those Senators decided they weren't going to vote for Gaetz's confirmation, this included the Republican Majority leader and at least enough other Republican Senators that the nomination was pulled.
So what are you mad about? That people are making an inference about the report being a bad one for Gaetz? That people are putting Matt Gaetz's name through the mud based on too high a burden of proof? Do you have some sort of inside info that is exculpatory?
