I am curious how the Elon-Trump thing will end.

You know exactly how it's going to end, the only question is how long will it take to get there. There are already unsourced reports about Elon being annoying and not leaving Mar A Lago. There was even a report of him taking his kids there for extended times.

Is there a hotel nearby they can reserve blocks of rooms at? Mar-A-Lago is not that big.
My winning smile and can-do attitude.

Peggy pos is if he pulls this off people will quickly realize how important immigrants are in this country and the only solution will be to establish easier paths to legal status than the ridiculous red tape we currently have.

Once a state of emergency is started for something like that, when will it stop?

Probably about like a war on terror.

Trump nominated the guy who literally wrote the Project 2025 chapter on the FCC to head the FCC.

Whoever believed that the P2025 plan wasn’t the plan is a rough ridin' idiot.

The amazing thing about reading this kind of simp brained "thinking" is knowing that over the ages, individuals/groups in our government have written some absolutely insane things and they continued to have a voice in various policy making bodies, including getting the ear of POTUS, in some cases, with great regularity.

One individual (thus, one example) having the ear of not one but two presidents went out and tried to sell the nation on a YouTube video being the cause for one of our ambassadors and some CIA operatives (recruiting mercenaries and shipping weapons to Syria) being killed in Benghazi.  The same person is part of a movement that vacillates between "Trump is going to cause WWIII" and "Trump is a surrender monkey".  In a normal world this individual wouldn't be allowed within 800 miles of a seat of power.  Yet, she continued giving advice to presidents for years, and still does to this day.

Let's take the FCC. They recently fast tracked the sale of a bunch of radio stations to one of #blueanon's most favored billionaires (and notorious monetary ghoul). The fast tracking was unprecedented.  It is 1000% onbrand for #blueanon to think they should never be called on such things, and it's 1000% onbrand for #blueanon to be major conspiracy propagators.

Trump may be proud but he’s not principled. If any decision becomes wildly unpopular he’ll pin it on someone else and move on to the next thing.

Yea he makes reversals frequently on very bad press.  It's why I think Gaetz won't make it to AG and will likely get thrown under the bus. The ethics committee is going to leverage that report to make sure he doesn't imo.

If SNL is serious about being funny for everyone again, this could make a great cold opening sketch. Just need to leave Alec Baldwin out of the loop.

I don't know but the report had him and his kids there, all the ones he's allowed to see anyway. He won't leave and he had his visitation there.

Papers! Papers! This is rhetorical real worry. How significant it is I don’t know, but it’s not negligible imo.

In many cases, people calling for deportation of undocumented immigrants don’t appreciate how much their community relies on them.

Trump again said he wants the US Military conducting these sweeps.

Do people think this will be more or less of a federal government threatening their liberty than the Jade Helm 15 US Army training?

The US Army conducting workplace raids? Helping detain and separate citizens from non-citizens in families?

I guess because everyone assumes it won't affect them and only bad others it should be just fine.

How long do you guys think it will take the army to act upon its own citizens before the entire country will be swept?

If you’re realistic, it’s years.

How are the second amendment ppl ok with this?

What are the measurables?  I mean, our election system has highly protected and easily reported measurables and 4yrs later nearly the entire GOP still says that the 2020 election was stolen. Who is to say when all the illegals are swept and the emergency is over?  The same gop morons?  That is who will be in control.

This is quite literally the most dangerous and most slippery of slopes and ppl are cool with it. This is literally why so many 2A ppl insist on having guns. All for Donald trumps weak ego. This is very mumped.

I did say it. Many areas rely on labor from undocumented immigrants, and empirical evidence shows that removing those immigrants does not create more opportunities for US citizens--it just hurts the overall economy.
