Listened to 1/2 of Trump's speech in Missouri. I think tax reform will be his strongest plank....and he spoke well on it so whomever his writer was on this topic should do all his speeches...it was obviously lacking details but that isn't surprising for a presidential speech like this.

That being said, working single mothers, homeless, etc. need other options for advanced education. And no, night classes at a JUCO isn't going to do it. It will take them 8 years to get an associate degree doing that.

You aren't saying Trump U is a good alternative for a single mother to gain an "advanced education" are you?

They just need other options than for profit (recruiters selling their souls to enroll unfit students to keep a job) and JUCO (Takes forever to get a worthless associate degree).

It really doesn't take that much time to get an associate's degree at a juco. It's 2 years full time.

Not the demographic that we're looking at with for profit tho. There's ppl out there like I said above that had some early obstacles in their life and they'd still like to move their lives forward in a positive way and over come them. However, they still have to take care of their family, pay the bills, etc. Then try and make school happen on top of that. This demographic doesn't graduate in 2 years, rage. I worked with these ppl for 7 years. Hearing their stories really makes you feel for some of their situations. Like kids parents passing away and having to work 80 hours a week to take care of the family.

That's fair, but many want to be accountants, run their own business, nurses, etc. I think these guys are getting closer to being what we need: http://www.snhu.edu/tuition-and-financial-aid/tuition-and-fees/online-and-regional-center-tuition-and-fees

It might take 8 years, then. I don't think the answer is encouraging them to go pay for a degree that they can get faster, because that degree is worthless.
