Mmmm I think we all pay taxes on this board and can voice opinions on how that is spent. We can want to not increase military spending and keep those programs that help less fortunate. I don't want to pay for bigger guns and also pay to help my neighbor. I'm not that rich. Good gravy DC

Honestly we want different things. Which is allowed in the United States. In order to make our opinion known about how we would like taxpayer money spent we vote for representatives at the state and federal level.

If the majority of those representatives approve this budget, is this system working?

Surely if massive defense spending is so important to trumpublicans they would be able to be funded privately instead of stealing my hard earned money to put another missile in storage.

Is Yard Dog serious right now and trying to turn around and blame liberals?

I'm not blaming liberals for the proposed budget. Just intrigued that everyone is so convinced that if the government doesn't fund something that no one will. From the logic of liberals I have read on this blog, republicans don't care about poor people, so I assume the liberals will step in and support these meal programs when the governments supported budget disappears.

Let someone else deal with it. Great logic.

The fired New York prosecutor was investigating Tom Price when he was let go. Can Trump's swamp be any more corrupt?

it's amazing that the united state of america has a president that says stuff every day that every person in the world hears and just says to themselves "yeah, that's obviously not true" and just moves on.

Funny how self proclaimed anti-war hawk Dax doesn't have a problem with the military budget growing exponentially under the War loving GOP

Exponentially?

Oh, you mean proposed budget.  Look, I know we haven't seen a proposed budget in years, but Congress ultimately still controls the purse strings.

Also, an increase in defense spending doesn't mean more War.

Really weird post Abe.

It's weird that we had a president for 8 years who said one thing while either doing the exact opposite or doing nothing, while no one really called him on it.

Seriously, this tardstore thinks the proper role of the Fed is filling a van full of stoufers Salisbury steak for home delivery and not operating a military while we're engaged in war.

I figured as much. Fwiw Sdk mom, a veteran, agrees with you. She would even be in favor of 2 years mandatory service. Be it military or civic. I could support that too. SdK mom may have persuaded me. She has a fair amount of experience with people abusing the system.
