The SteveDave's of the world should be looking at slightly used luxury vehicles.
I just picked up a 2007 Lexus ES 350 for $8,500 cash. It had 26K miles on it.
Damn, jealous. Those older Lexus will run forever too.
Am also jealous. Pretty amazing to find a 13yo car with only 26K miles. Little old lady who kept it in her garage all the time?
i mean. it's a lexus es 350. what are the chances that the previous owner isn't a 90 year old grandma, is less than zero possible in this case?
The es 350 is pretty common family car in Joco. My guess is that the LS would be a more likely old lady car....husband dies and she just keeps driving it to church/temple, etc.
CarFax indicates family inheritance and quick trade.
Except for a scratch on the back bumper (appt next week) and some road rash on the wheels (deciding between local refurb or just ordering refurb'd wheels) car is in perfect condition.
Very jealous. I would buy that car.
Great place to shop for Toyota/Lexus models (and many others) before Toyota quality went to crap. Florida.
Speaking of crap. Bought a 2009 Camry for my daughter, low mileage when she got her DL. Just happened to be the series where Toyota eff'd up on the piston ring oil drains. 75K miles, burning a quart of oil or more every 1,500 miles. Daughter, just 'too busy' to take car in to set up for Toyota's bullshit 'oil test' which could have at least yielded a rebuilt engine. If you're buying a car for a kid, beware of the 2008/2009 toyota Camry's.
As an aside. Neighbor works for MB corporate, gets a new MB SUV every 2 or 3 months. They build them right down the road in Tuscaloosa, MB SUV's all over the damn place around here. Those and Honda Pilots, they build those down the road from BHAM towards ATL.
