does anyone really think this AD will hire a badass coach? we'll obviously hire someone mediocre who "does things the right way". the tucks have tremendous pull.

I'd be furious.. by all accounts Hayes wanted to retire shortly before last season but HCBS convinced him to stay, if he doesn't at least retire I might completely lose my crap.

Not sure why anyone would expect anything other than a situation like you described. Only thing you can hope for is that Currie wants an sec job and a home run football hire would look good on the resume.

The "Bill wants Sean to take over" narrative has been a smokescreen from the start planted by Bill to ensure that Bill would have a say in getting a 'compromise' hire like someone that has been discussed ad nauseam in this thread.

Sean will either stay on as Associate HC and be EMAW for life or will take his chances as a HC @ a smaller school when/if this certain candidate is announced as DC/HCIW.

Bill is taking one for the team in 2016 by having a new OL, an unexperienced QB, and the hard schedule and will turn over the reigns in 2017 to help ensure the new HC walks into a situation where you can sleepwalk into a decent bowl game with an experienced OL/QB and the easy schedule.
