Bill's master plan (aka Operation Sean: Code Name LHC Bill Snyder Family Trust) is going to be the victim of a very sad catch 22. 

The longer Bill waits out Currie (who'd rather bathe in a pool of ticks than hand the keys to Sean), the more Sean gets exposed as being an average football mind with a legendary Dad.

It's like something out of a novel.  I bet Tait marries one of Hayden Fry's great grandchildren and claws his way up through the ashes to lead Iowa to a National Championship someday.

Can we talk about the fact that one guy has said Sean "should have the job." No one, including Sean, has said he wants the job, but multiple sources has said he doesn't want the job. I guess what I'm getting at is that it seems Sean getting the job is as likely as catastrophe getting the job.

I guess I have to ask. Is coach just oblivious to this? I know that our perception is we can do less with more. But HCBS isn't the young man he used to be. And by all accounts, he's simply not putting in the man hours actively preparing for games that he used to probably because he cannot. He has to realize that something has to be done. He's been down this trail before when the wheels started coming off.

Have you driven by Vanier? His vehicle is always there.

My grandma is way too old to drive.  She refuses to give the car  up and often would try to take the car out and about.  My dad rented a carport down the road from her house and parks it there with the battery disconnected.  So, now when my dad takes her somewhere, she sees her car, knows she still has it, and no arguments are made.  She just can't use it.  Pride, I guess.

This is probably what they are doing with bills car and the fans are confused because of the chosen parking location.

We had my grandmother in a similar situation.  She called a mechanic once to come over and look at it.  The mechanic knew why the battery was unhooked, but had to do his job and reconnect it.  After calling my dad to let him know, he was told "the blood is on your hands."  About a week later, her car keys disappeared.

Many years of being a K-State fan has honed my inner EMAW, and my inner EMAW is screaming that BV back home absolutely must happen otherwise a fog of malaise is going to set in and get harder and harder to remove.     

A transition plan must be put in place now IN MY OPINION and that cannot be Sean.   If the reports are true that Sean doesn't really want the job, then Sean Snyder should never, ever be considered for the job . . . ever (as if that really needed to be said).   This is of course if we want to see LHCBS leave in a good way.   

I feel right now the same way I felt when Lon Kruger left and despite my Tuck Level degree of optimism at the time, inside my inner EMAW said it was going to be a long road of malaise and shitty basketball (only to have some real KITN moment during that process upon finding out Eddie Sutton begged for the job after Kruger left, and that Tubby Smith backed out after verbally accepting when Altman left). 

All of the work to build overall Top 25 Football Facilities will be for not if something substantial doesn't happen very, very soon IMO.

It's just really, really quiet.  I mean there's no news about anything.  Recruiting, coaching changes, etc.  Nothing.  I haven't even heard a peep about recruiting visits, and we have, what, 2-3 more potential weeks to host before signing day?

That could mean nothing.  It could mean something.  But if absolutely nothing was going to happen, wouldn't we at least hear about some kids coming in for recruiting visits?
