We had better not be taking those guys unless we are also adding FSU. Bowlsby needs to be put on notice.
Yea, would be happy as eff adding UL if FSU comes with. Otherwise I'd prefer to continue looking down my nose at them.
I once blew clove smoke in a guy's face that cut in front of me in the line to KJ's.

summary please

Says they don't believe we're gonna expand until we see how the playoff system works out. Also added that that's not good for Louisville because without us they are stuck in the big east.

Yeah, I don't think ESPN insider is insider at all.

Today is the first sell out at FSU since . . . they played OU last year.

4 ACC home games last year did not sell out.

4 ACC home games last year did not sell out.

Neither did the ACC home game last week (vs Wake, a team that had beaten them several times the last few years).

ACC home schedules
Last year: Maryland (2-10), NC State (8-5), Miami (6-6) and Virginia (8-5)
This year: Wake Forest (2-1), Clemson (3-0), Boston College (1-2) and Duke (2-1)

Today's game vs Clemson is a sellout, but it's easy to imagine that the BC and Duke games will not be.  That would be 7 out of 8, during a time when FSU is pretty dang good.  Is it safe to say FSU fans don't care about ACC football?

this is the ENTIRE piece...an entire article that is less than 2 full paragraphs   :sdeek:

Whenever conference realignment comes up (and it tends to come up pretty often around here), it often involves teams moving to the Big 12. With Notre Dame out of the picture, the two most likely expansion candidates seem to be Florida State and Louisville. However, one prominent writer in the heart of the Big 12 says the league is unlikely to expand anytime soon.

"The news is, they're not going to expand. At least not for a few years," writes Berry Tramel of the Oklahoman. "The Big 12 will sit back and see how the new playoff system works before it considers expansion. That's not good news for Louisville, but that's just the way it is."

Yes, that's almost as impressive as the 4,000 who showed up to watch Louisville lose at home last year to Florida Atlantic. Stop trying to mask the taste of diarrhea on that diarrhea sandwich. No one's biting.

46,330

Not a sellout.

I think their stadium holds 44,000 officially, so I think it was a sellout.

It was definitely not a capacity crowd, however.

http://www.wane.com/dpp/sports/college/notre-dame-ends-series-with-michigan

Possibly expansion-related news: Notre Dame is ending its series with Michigan.  The article above indicates that 2014 will be the last meeting between the programs as Notre Dame prepares to begin playing 5 games per year against the ACC in 2015.

I still don't believe the Irish are positioning themselves to join the ACC for football, but I have to admit that I'm surprised they chose to end this series.  If there was any thought in the back of their minds that they might one day join the Big Ten, it doesn't seem likely that they'd drop Michigan so quickly.

I think the Big 10 is the last conference they would ever join in football.

People kept saying that the Big Ten was a natural fit, and honestly, of all of the major conferences, the Big Ten was the absolute worst fit.

Notre Dame/Michigan has been on thin ice for a while.  It was going to be the first "traditional" series cut from their schedule, regardless of what happened with ND in realignment.
