Last year: Maryland (2-10), NC State (8-5), Miami (6-6) and Virginia (8-5)
This year: Wake Forest (2-1), Clemson (3-0), Boston College (1-2) and Duke (2-1)

Today's game vs Clemson is a sellout, but it's easy to imagine that the BC and Duke games will not be.  That would be 7 out of 8, during a time when FSU is pretty dang good.  Is it safe to say FSU fans don't care about ACC football?

Whenever conference realignment comes up (and it tends to come up pretty often around here), it often involves teams moving to the Big 12. With Notre Dame out of the picture, the two most likely expansion candidates seem to be Florida State and Louisville. However, one prominent writer in the heart of the Big 12 says the league is unlikely to expand anytime soon.

Possibly expansion-related news: Notre Dame is ending its series with Michigan.  The article above indicates that 2014 will be the last meeting between the programs as Notre Dame prepares to begin playing 5 games per year against the ACC in 2015.

I still don't believe the Irish are positioning themselves to join the ACC for football, but I have to admit that I'm surprised they chose to end this series.  If there was any thought in the back of their minds that they might one day join the Big Ten, it doesn't seem likely that they'd drop Michigan so quickly.

People kept saying that the Big Ten was a natural fit, and honestly, of all of the major conferences, the Big Ten was the absolute worst fit.

Notre Dame/Michigan has been on thin ice for a while.  It was going to be the first "traditional" series cut from their schedule, regardless of what happened with ND in realignment.
