Meanwhile, some Mizzou J-School graduates are actually doing some reporting.

Wow. This article listing the SEC rankings is incredibly sobering.
It's black and white and highly suggested reading.
After seeing MU's position in every statistical ranking, financial and other, MU is about to go become the SEC's new Kentucky, without the National Championship caliber basketball program.
Edit: After reading again, the ONLY category MU would even statistically rank higher than #11 in the 14 member league would be basketball expenditures.
I would expect if MU starts beating any of the big guys in bball the big guys will quickly pass mu in that category.
MU going to the SEC and trying to up their spending to compete is like Uganda starting an arms race with the US.
But I will enjoy their suffering and subsequent debt.
It will be hliarious to see them increase their spending in football, while revenues decline with their attendance after the SEC honeymoon wears off.
JFC, MU is averaging only 61k during the golden era of Pinkle. Just wait until that fickle fan base starts experiencing 6 and 7 win seasons again.
Kentucky hasn't won a conference title in 35 years and still averages 67,000 a game.
I can't wait until the RV army descends on Columbia and their town is overrun with SEC nut jobs.
It's a religion down there. A&M at least fits the "we're pretty much out-of-this-world crazy" criteria you need to be a member of the league. Mizzou won't know what hit them.
I still think it's awesome that they don't have an offer yet. They've been dangling out there for two weeks, and the concession will be to share a division with Georgia.
Whatever. Let them leave at this point. But sue them for every cent you can squeeze out of them. I want them and A&M nice and hamstrung so it takes them at least 10-15 years to even compete.
