My dad buys like 2 F-series trucks a year (used) and him and his cowboys just absolutely burn through them. It’s actual like ranch off-road stuff and they like break the frames on them and crap. My dad welded the frames on multiple of them himself which doesn’t seem to be highway safe but he’s a GOAT welder so maybe. The only dealership in Meade is a Ford dealer so we only buy Ford for that reason, nothing to do with brand loyalty or any of that. He will buy himself an actual new one every few years and it’s a funny “break-in” period where he tries to keep the new one nice while still mainly using the old one until he rips the bandaid then the new one gets completely trashed immediately.

there is probably at any time 2k lbs of stuff in the back of my dads truck. tools, chemicals, etc. just a mess of a bed of a truck. when he's done with one there is no paint left in the bed and it's dented to crap with multiple full on punctures through the metal. also my cousin one time was running a loader with a big boom on it to pick up round bails and skewered the side of the bed of one of his trucks and picked it completely off the ground and then sat it back down and then got out and contemplated what he had done and then went and found my dad and told him and my dad was obviously irate but cool about it but lmao.

also the over under on amount of firearms in my dad's truck is set at 4. and nobody knows if you win the o/u because my dad himself doesn't know for certain. always a revolver, .243 with a scope, shotgun, and then a slot machine of whatever other ordnance he may or may not have under a seat somewhere. also he used to keep a single shot .410/.45 mag handgun/break action around just to blast rattle snakes. but nobody has seen it for awhile last I heard so maybe it's gone. who knows.

it was wherever it was last left. which makes it hard to narrow down.

also the very first thing my dad does to a new truck he buys is torch off the spare tire from underneath and throw it in the bed. they gather shitloads of tumble weeds and crap if left underneath. also he once bought on of the "off road" like raptor ones or whatever and had to torch off all the under carriage protection plates because they do the same. would just gather up debris and catch on fire. he buys these specially made UTVs that have the motor on the top of the back (hard to describe but I'll get a pic next time I'm down there) because of the same thing. we have like a dozen polaris at any one time but they start on fire all the time from dried grass and tumbleweeds and crap getting all caught up by the motor. irl ranch stuff is wild.

How many miles is each truck getting before it's "burned through"?

Just racking up like 25-50k miles on a truck before it's busted?

no, the used ones he buys are usually already 75k+ miles already and then the cowboys wreck them from there. but if you're asking how many miles they actually get once they have them then that's probably right. it's hard to find a mare that hasn't been hard ridden in SW KS though (THAT'S COWBOY SPEAK FELLAS). the local ford dealer knows us and others in the area very well and will try to acquire city trucks for us to then destroy. On that note, the local ford dealer is DeLissa Ford and I can't recommend them enough. Just great people. They somehow have a Ford franchise in Meade, KS and don't have more than a couple new Fords of any type at any one time. But, they sell an absolute assload of new ford trucks to the locals who order through them. I heard an almost impossible rumor that they sold more new ford ordered trucks than anyone in the state but I honestly wouldn't be shocked if it was true'ish. also they are incredible small town dealership people and when my mom needs an oil change on her explorer they will just come pick it up at our house (way outside of town) and then drop it back there after doing it.

Also an incredible thing about the local Ford dealer is that they get like the special crap Ford doesn't give anyone because they sell so many new trucks. so they will have like the 1/20 Mustang in the "showroom" and they laugh about it because they would never be able to sell it but wtf just give it to us. and then they'll trade it to another dealer who actually wants it. growing up it was fun to walk in and sit in that stuff that they knew they wouldn't sell.

They are just a commodity outfit. Trade grain and animal futures and all that stuff. I know the owner and his family pretty well (obviously.)

I'm sure the local Ford dealer people in Meade KS are nice people and nice to everyone in general, but I feel like your opinion of them is a bit skewed since you buy 30 trucks from them every year.
