No Squid Game watchers here?

GF hasn't seen S1 so we're working through that before heading to S2. NGL it has been a couple of years since seeing it so while I know what is going to happen you do forget a lot of details over time.

Started The Penguin last night. I'm through two episodes and enjoying it.

It's so good.

Finished E2 of Squid Game S2 lastnight.  I’m in, but I forgot a lot of the stuff from S1.  Think I’m more or less OK though.

I started to watch season 1 after I watched ep1 of season 2 and stopped after 10 minutes, you'll be fine, episodes 1 and 2 of season 2 gave you all the background you need.

Is it even worth it to finish Cobra Kai? I've watched all but the final set they released like a month ago or whatever.

yeah, about that. It turns out that isn't the last set. The next to last set is fine. The good thing about Cobra Kai is there should be little to no expectation about what you're watching being actually good. They continue to stick to the formula.

My wife rewatched that during her maternity leave (which is about to end) so I absorbed some of it for the first time.  Chuck Bass is an absurd character. I was shocked to learn he was heterosexual.

My wife rewatched One Tree Hill every couple of years. I don’t like the show, but it’s batshit crazy.

I’m convinced they had a system to their writing. I think they would right an episode with a logical conclusion. They would then roll a die. If it landed in 6 they would rewrite the last 5 minutes in the opposite, craziest way they could. They would use the die roll method for the first 5 minutes & the last 5 minutes of every episode. It was genius. That’s how they ended up with scenes like someone carrying a heart transplant cooler tripping over a dog’s leash in the waiting room, spilling the heart onto the floor, & the dog eating the heart in front of the would be transplant recipient. They’d also go things like end an episode by having a character that hadn’t been on the show in a few years come out of nowhere & hit someone in the face with a shovel.

I binged the entire second season of Shrinking on Friday. Bill Lawrence is really good and that show has to be expensive as hell.

Season two is pretty good, guys. There are a couple of plot holes and they did a really good job of not having those in season 1. However, the way it's written doesn't make a season two improbable, at all. They used the two years off to make sure the writing is good, it's not a lazy money grab.

I'm four episodes in and have no idea how the writing could be considered good, unless you're talking exclusively about the storyline (which remains to be seen for me). The dialogue seems to have been written by a first grader, possibly kindergartner. And not just the dialogue, but the reasoning for why certain characters like or hate the main character is pretty hilarious.

My family somehow decided to start Manifest. I think it was a network show and is now on netflix. We rarely watch shows so i'm not even sure how it happened. I thought the concept was interesting so i'm giving it a go, but it's pretty terrible about 5 eps in. Mrs SF and the kids are enjoying so i'm being a good sport. The acting is horrendous.

While the rest of the family is trying to figure out what is going on, i'm trying to figure out how it made it 4 seasons.

My wife watched 2 seasons before finally calling quits. But she's still watching and loving Grey's Anatomy, so she can watch anything.

I actually enjoyed this latest season more than probably the two prior. It is what it is though like MIR said.

LOL, still Mrs SFs favorite show and she gets mad at me when I watch with her and LOL at how ridiculous it is. The government should have torn down that hospital like 10 years ago at least.

Yeah, of course I'm talking about the storyline. Is there a lot of players deciding to or not to like 456? Other than one scene, that's played out twice, I can't think of this at all. When it did happen, whether or not they liked 456 seemed pretty black and white to me.

Have you watched either season of shrinking yet? If not, you should start, right away. I wouldn't compare it to scrubs, at all, but it has Bill Lawrence fingerprints all over it.

We watched one season of Manifest. My favorite part was counting how many times Ben dramatically took his glasses off every episode.

I was thinking about that when I saw your post so I searched to see if anyone else noticed it and found this lmao:

I knocked out the first season in one sitting on Mrs. Stevesie's first day back to work after our daughter was born. There seemed to be very little in-show drama. At least in Ted Lasso they would lose sometimes.

I also just restarted Scrubs and got to the scene where JD sees The Janitor in The Fugitive. One of the most fun things that's ever happened in a network comedy.

From what I've gathered from bi-lingual people the S1 translations are terrible which is part of the problem, lots of times it feels very cheesy.

This is even worse in s2, but also add in a bad plot and characters no one cares about.

This is the craziest show.
