Really enjoyed it. Was a great watch, hope they do a season 2.

Also been watching Resident Alien. Very good as well, I enjoy how it leans into the aliens guy (who shows up many times in the show) theories while also sorta correcting them similar to the Good Place. Fun, heartwarming, a smidge predictable, but like how all the characters are well done.

Outside of the first episode with the old people and technology bit, I just didn't find it very funny.  Maybe my expectations were too high.

the one about the Menendez brothers ... knew nothing about this.
the one about Jonbenet Ramsey .... i remembered so little about this story. the police were very bad at their job! those poor parents.
the one about Laci Peterson ... saw it all over the news through the years but never paid enough attention to remember the verdict. wild!
Jailbreak: Love on the Run ... this is about the alabama prison guard that ran off with a prisoner. insane story. just batshit crazy.

Maybe I should give those a more fair shake but both bothered me so much growing up. I get there is a miscarriage of justice but that happens a lot all over, but those two just had an insane amount of press that shouldn't have ever gotten the attention they got. I get pretty, rich, and white plays into it but I just don't have an affinity for massive national news stories that have no business being national news for no particular reason. If this was the first time I ever heard of either than maybe I'll watch, those other two more or less fit the bill! But no reason NBC, ABC, et al needed to cover those like they did.

the media coverage was beyond outrageous. one instance particularly stood out to me in the ramsey case, which was Geraldo Rivera holding a mock trial on his show using only information reported in the media, that "found" the parents as "guilty". just some really sick and dangerous stuff.

The whole thing coincided with a time in which complete media saturation was still relatively new. It was a perfect storm.

You didn't watch it did you? I went to Hulu and when I saw it wasn't a doc, who the subject is, and that it's a lifetime movie, I noped out.

I stopped watching the final season.  I figured it would be something where either the two split or they have to kill eachother, and that made me sad and I didn’t want to watch that.

Great show though.
