I was disappointed with the ending to S1 of Squid Games because I thought how can you build on this? I felt they did an adequate job addressing that. Over the top? Sure, but I still found it enjoyable. If you like Squid Games you have to like the games. I enjoyed the games in S2. I was disappointed at how S2 concluded. It feels like their milking it for all they can but what TV provider isn't doing that these days. I actually find the English dubbed version decent for S1 and S2. It doesn't always match the subtitles for some reason but it's not so bad that I have to focus strictly on the subtitles which satisfies me.

Yeah the only thing I was disappointed about re S2 is that it was only 7 episodes.

My family somehow decided to start Manifest. I think it was a network show and is now on netflix. We rarely watch shows so i'm not even sure how it happened. I thought the concept was interesting so i'm giving it a go, but it's pretty terrible about 5 eps in. Mrs SF and the kids are enjoying so i'm being a good sport. The acting is horrendous.

I quit 2 episodes in.  Horrible.

While the rest of the family is trying to figure out what is going on, i'm trying to figure out how it made it 4 seasons.

We watched one season of Manifest. My favorite part was counting how many times Ben dramatically took his glasses off every episode.

I was thinking about that when I saw your post so I searched to see if anyone else noticed it and found this lmao:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvhlZm2VIAA

Lol, I may have to start a separate thread and live post this disaster. My family is still in so i'm trapped. Ben is the worst. One of my kids finally said, "is he a good actor?". I lol'd. Ep 6 was a beauty. Ben needs some files that are hard copy. He is able to somehow automatically have his boss's ID that gives him access to a completely different building and walks right past security with no problems. When he gets to his floor, he walks 5 steps and the first office on the left has a glass door with "Files" on it. They are all right there on the desk!!!! I laughed out loud and Mrs SF got mad at me and my kids kept asking why I was laughing. I'm trying hard not to ruin it for everyone but it's impossible.

Love is Blind Habibi is a great watch.

Also really liked the Waco documentary on Netflix.

Hacks is fantastic and definitely worth a watch all the way through. All 3 seasons are good.

Yeah I thought Squid Game Season 2 kicked ass. I wish I could watch it again for the first time.

Just finished season 2 of Suits.  I can definitely see why Harry threw away his royalness for MM.

In anticipation of S2 of Severance, I'm doing my first rewatch in years and I'm burning through it faster than expected. I forgot episodes were only 45 minutes. Poor timing/planning on my part.

Starting the Springer Docuseries on Netflix. As an avowed believer in geographical moral superiority, The "Springer Triangle" is one of the funniest things I've ever seen. They said 98% of their guests came from a geographical area inside of a triangle from Little Rock, to Cleveland, to Jacksonville.

Season two is pretty good, guys. There are a couple of plot holes and they did a really good job of not having those in season 1. However, the way it's written doesn't make a season two improbable, at all. They used the two years off to make sure the writing is good, it's not a lazy money grab.

I'm four episodes in and have no idea how the writing could be considered good, unless you're talking exclusively about the storyline (which remains to be seen for me). The dialogue seems to have been written by a first grader, possibly kindergartner. And not just the dialogue, but the reasoning for why certain characters like or hate the main character is pretty hilarious.

Yeah, of course I'm talking about the storyline. Is there a lot of players deciding to or not to like 456? Other than one scene, that's played out twice, I can't think of this at all. When it did happen, whether or not they liked 456 seemed pretty black and white to me.

Have you watched either season of shrinking yet? If not, you should start, right away. I wouldn't compare it to scrubs, at all, but it has Bill Lawrence fingerprints all over it.

Finished season 2 of Squid Game. I will say the writers are really great at keeping things unpredictable, even when it seems obvious what's going to happen. The dialogue is insanely cheesy, but I saw that the dialogue is different between the dubbed version and the captioned version, so maybe that's why we disagree about it.

I feel like the English dub makes the dialogue seem a lot cheesier.

Damn, same here. I almost paused it last night to write down one of the many particularly bad exchanges but I'm not great at multi-tasking on PEDs. Obviously it's fun and interesting enough for me to have stayed up till 3am on two different occasions to watch it, so my critiques clearly aren't too significant.

When I was much younger, I worked with a guy that had been on multiple day-time sleaze shows.  It was clearly something aspirational for him.  I'm now thinking that he was a precursor to the people that try to get on reality tv nowadays.

I watched this last night and loved it, I had always just assumed it was fake actors/people but I guess alot of the crap was real?!?

Loved the reference to the triangle (75% was the actual number) and the producer girl who got fired for booking fake guests. "I should have known it wasn't real, they called from Boston. Nobody in Boston comes on the Jerry Springer show, its outside the triangle."

The triangle is crazy because it completely cuts out Missouri.  However it makes sense. When I was young didn’t understand what a hillbilly really meant. I never knew where the people on Springer came from because they had accents but they weren’t really southern. I figured they all came from Mississippi & Alabama but they didn’t have the right accents. I thought Tennessee, Kentucky & Ohio were just normal places. Now when I see clips it makes complete sense.
I got a guy on the other line about some white walls

Primeval America on Netflix is an intense western. I am enjoying it.
